Israel razes house of Palestinian who aided terrorists in fatal February attack

Overnight between Sunday and Monday, security forces demolished the house of a terrorist who aided in the February terror attack that killed Border Police officer Hadar Cohen, the IDF said Monday morning.

Cohen, a 19-year-old border policewoman was killed in a shooting and stabbing attack at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City. Another female officer was critically wounded in the attack.

From an Israeli contributor to the Tundra Tabloids:

I can’t wait for Ramadan to be over.  On the bright side, we finally have an Israeli policy that makes sense regarding terror stiffs.  No bodies will be returned to terror families/clans.  Instead there will be a terrorist cemetery somewhere in Israel.  Hope that someone will throw in a ham sandwich with the remains.

And may every single Israeli Jew and (and proven loyal Arab to the Jewish state) be armed as well. It’s the only way to stop the madness.

A Haredi man, 40 and a woman, 62, were injured, one seriously, one mildly, in a stabbing attack by a terrorist on Shoham Street near Sheshet Hayamim Street near the Netanya open market area. The two victims, one of them Haredi, were treated by MDA and evacuated to Laniado hospital. One woman was treated for panic attack.

Laniado hospital reported that one victim was stabbed in the back, the other in the chest.

The terrorist,  a resident of the Tul Karem area in Samaria, was shot dead by an armed civilian.

How about a cup of ”I couldn’t give a crap”?

Soon enough when the mohammedans inside Europe demand autonomous and then separate states, the Israelis can then wag their fingers at the tough measures Europe employs in dealing with their own islamonazis and illegal homes they build.

EU warns Israel continued Palestinians home demolitions will harm ties

The European Union has warned Israel that its policy of demolishing illegal Palestinians homes — including construction it has funded — is harming ties between Israel and its 28-member states.

It issued it’s warning at a closed door meeting last week between EU officials in Israel and representatives from the office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories. Among those present were EU Ambassador to Israel Lars Faaborg Andersen and COGAT head Maj. Gen Yoav Mordechai.

Earlier this month the EU issued a very public condemnation of such activity, particularly against Beduin in the E1 area of the Ma’aleh Adumim settlement, just outside of Jerusalem.

“The regrettable trend of confiscations and demolitions since the beginning of the year, including of EU-funded humanitarian assistance, was confirmed once again this week by demolitions of temporary shelters in Jabal al-Baba, a Bedouin community in the so-called E1 area,” the EU said.

In response to rocket fire launched towards Israel late Wednesday night, the Israeli Air Force attacked two locations that were part of Hamas’ terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF spokesperson released a statement in which they promised to continue to work in order to maintain quiet in the Gaza border communities in Israel.

The rockets launched from the Gaza Slanded inside Israeli territory on Wednesday night.

The rockets landed in open territory and no red alert siren was sounded.

There were no reports of injuries or damage in the incident.

Wednesday night’s rocket fire came after a flare up of violence on the Gaza border earlier this month which saw Hamas operatives target Israeli soldiers in several mortar attacks, followed by Israeli reprisals with tank fire and air strikes.

Being non-Islamic is an affront enough for the Muslim to wage an eternal war.

israeli IAF

Israel’s obliteration, from the river to the sea – not liberating “Palestine” – is the true cause célèbre. Islam’s honor is at stake, not Palestinian statehood.

It has everything to do with Islam. For Islamic honor has been affronted, nothing less, and Israeli existence is apparently the greatest stain.

Nothing to Do with Islam

From politically-correct America on down, the West insists that acknowledged terrorist organizations, such as ISIS and al-Qaida, are aberrant radical ideologies that pervert and exploit Islam, a religion of peace.

These sadistic extremists form but a tiny minority; care must be taken to forestall Islamo-phobic backlash in any response to extremism’s horrific modi operandi. The gates for innocent Muslim refugees must be kept wide open to Europe and must be further opened to America. It is, after all, who we are. It is the Christian thing to do.

Meanwhile, now-officially-moderate Iran, to support Palestine, hosts the Second Holocaust International Cartoon Exhibition savaging Israel’s soldiers, re-invigorating time-honored anti-Semitic traditions of venal caricatures of all things Jewish, and co-opting and diminishing the systematic murder of six million Jews.

The contest awards tens of thousands of dollars in prizes and includes grotesqueness from fifty countries. It opens on Nakba (Tragedy) Day, when Arabs and leftists bemoan Israel’s 1948 rebirth, decrying what resulted from the multi-country Arab invasion’s failure to destroy Israel and kill off the Jewish population – instead, it was the Arabs who lost. Such are the wages of war.

Over at Isreallycool, Brian of London posts a number of videos taken at the recent debate in London on the “two state solution” to the Arabs’ war against the peace loving Jewish state of Israel. Please check out the videos there.

Two State Great Debate room joined

I repost the the video of the Q & A, and draw your attention to the portion where Brian mentions the not-to-often-stated (which should be common knowledge) fact that Palestinian identity is a false construct, made in the 60’s by the Soviet’s during the Cold War to de-legitimize Jewish claims to the ancient land of Israel.

Interestingly enough at the 9:30 minute mark, Mudar Zahran, a more balanced and moderate kind of Arab that you could hope to get, admits that over 50% of the Arabs of Gaza identity as Egyptian (I think he’s low balling it actually), then at the 35:39 mark when Brian talks about the false Pali identity narrative, Mudar ”the moderate” Zahran erupts in indignation, to defend the supposed validity of the Palestinian identity.

It’s hilarious actually.

The very same cognitive dissonance on display here, is seen with the Arabs condemning post-WWI allied western leaders for imposing colonialism/imperialism on the Levant and Maghreb (making nation states out of the defeated Ottoman empire), and then claim nation state-hood for the ”indigenous” Palestinians. The whole concept of ”nation states” is foreign to Islamic thinking, but they now claim a distinct nation called Palestinians existed long before the modern state of Israel became a reality.

The befuddled thinking of the anti-Israel nay sayers is such because it’s based upon ideology, not historical facts, commons sense and reasoning. They take every day talking points and memes and then try to fit it into their ideological construct. It’s why some ”Palestinians” can claim to be an indigenous people related to the Phoneticians / Philistines and Canaanites, then claim to be full blooded Arabs (some of their imams claim direct relations to Mohamed himself, noted with a black turban).

If you listen closely you can hear chanting in the distant background. I can only assume that the nut-roots were all out in full force in protesting the Ambassador’s speaking engagement.

Israeli Security Forces on Tuesday arrested three Palestinians from the West Bank town of Nablus who are suspected of planning a terrorist attack in Jerusalem.

The three detainees have been transferred to the custody of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) for further questioning.

The arrests, which were carried out by a joint force comprising the Israel Police and the Shin Bet, were made in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabal Mukaber.

There is a huge difference between Israeli and paleostinian (homicidal/genocidal) society, and those who fail to see the difference, do so intentionally.

I know that Israeli medicine is impressive, but if her entire body is burned, the odds are really really stacked up against this defenseless 16 year old girl.

Racheli Dadon was with her 15-year-old daughter Eden on the bus when it became engulfed in flames, while the bus driver did all he could to save the passengers and says no one aroused his suspicion.

Racheli Dadon was desperately looking for her daughter, 15-year-old Eden, after the bombing on bus number 12 in Jerusalem on Monday, “when I found her, I saw that he entire body was burned.”

Police investigation found that an explosive device blew up at the back of the bus. Security forces are investigating the possibility that one of the wounded is a suicide bomber.

From her bed at the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem, Racheli recounted in tears the terrifying experience.

“My daughter and I got on the number 12 bus, and my daughter went to the back to find us seats while I paid the bus driver. We hadn’t even sat down when all of a sudden we heard a huge explosion, and glass began to fall on us. Everything was dark and full of smoke,” she recalled.

“I collapsed. Her whole face was black and burned. It was impossible to see her,” Dandon continued. “Paramedics had to carry my daughter out of the bus because she couldn’t move under her own power.”

After breaking down in tears, she added “I’ve always watched these things happen from the outside, but when it happens to you… I can’t believe that I’m here and that my daughter isn’t. She’ll be 16 in a month, and now she’s sedated and on a ventilator. I’m praying that she’ll get out of this ok.”

Racheli also requested that the Israeli public pray for her daughter’s recovery.

Just Another Day In Israel: 16-Year-Old Invents New Math Theory

We’ve seen Gil Benjamin’s amazing Rubik’s cube robot solver.

We’ve seen Roni Oron’s  system for the production of oxygen in space.

Now behold the latest Israeli child prodigy: Tamar Barabi, who just invented a math theorem!

Photo: Courtesy photo/Marina Sun/Shutterstock

It’s common for some high school kids to need the help of a math tutor. For others, numbers come naturally. And then there’s Tamar Barabi. The Israeli teenager just invented a new geometric theorem.

Like most discoveries, the eureka moment happened by accident. Tamar turned in her math homework and the teacher said the theory she used to solve the problem didn’t actually exist. “He said if I could prove it, it could be my theory. So that’s what happened,” Barabi told From The Grapevine.

With help from her dad, who is also a math teacher, they sent the theorem to experts around the world.

Known as the Three Radii Theorem, or “Tamar’s Theory” for short, it goes as follows: “If three or more equal lines leave a single point and reach the boundary of a circle, the point is the center of the circle and the lines are its radii.” Believe it or not, that’s the simple explanation. To compose the actual theorem, Barabi had to write up three proofs, a series of conclusions and some sample exercises.

History-Making Wedding Secretly Performed on the Temple Mount

The Temple Institute initiated an actual wedding ceremony on the Temple Mount, only the second time this has been performed in some 2000 years. The following is a press release we just received, describing the clandestine simcha.

An engaged couple recently approached Rabbi Chaim Richman, the International Director of the Temple Institute, and asked him if he would supervise their marriage on the Temple Mount. After scrupulously examining the detailed halachot (Jewish law) concerning the marriage ceremony, and consulting with other rabbinical authorities, Rabbi Richman happily accepted the task upon himself.

The couple met with Rabbi Richman early one recent morning in the Old City of Jerusalem, at the headquarters of the Temple Institute, where the blessing over wine was made, a prerequisite to the marriage ceremony. Two appointed witnesses then met the couple at the entrance to the Temple Mount. The witnesses were obligated to both hear the declaration of marriage from the lips of the groom and see him place the gold wedding band on the bride’s finger. All members of the party were instructed by Rabbi Richman that this had to be done without drawing the attention of the Israel police or the Muslim Waqf guards who would be accompanying the group of Jewish worshipers on the Temple Mount. Were they to notice they would certainly arrest all the parties involved and remove them immediately from the compound.

Soldier Shoots Terrorist, or Man Bites Dog

This week a firestorm of public opinion broke out over the accusation that a soldier killed a terrorist who was already shot but not clearly subdued. Without going into the actual details—which have yet to be determined by investigation—the key point is that the left-wing media ran to accuse the soldier of murder. Their “evidence” was neatly cooked for them by the anti-Israel so-called NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) B’tselem. B’tselem is not an actual NGO because they are heavily funded by foreign governmental donors, including the EU and Norway and government-funded church charities such as Sweden’s Diakonia, which sponsor other anti-Israeli organizations as well. Therefore it would be more accurate to call them a Foreign Interference Aggressor for Terror (FIAT).

The Palestinian Authority and its fellow-travelers have advanced since the days of creating events and issuing advance invitations to a willing press to created news. As we have noted before, they routinely use local handlers to lead reporters to the story the PA wants to show. However B’tselem has taken things up a level. The B’tselem modus operandi now is to fund cameramen who are conveniently waiting when a terror event or riot breaks out. The film is cooked and edited to the correct adversarial slant against Israelis, and then fed to news outlets.

Media Watch columnists Yisrael Medad and Eli Pollak reported today on the complicity of the media with the anti-Israel group. News outlets showed a tape without a soundtrack. In the fuller tape it is clear that the terrorist was still not neutralized and moving, nor had he been checked for explosives. B’tselem’s tape as provided to the media obscures these details and also blurs the terrorist. Batya Medad has an excellent fisk of the whole story here, including the longer unblurred tape which also shows the soldier attacked by the terrorist being put in an ambulance—another “detail” the B’tselem clip omits.

In a country that sends its sons and daughters to the army, a vast backlash has arisen against the media and government who rushed to conduct a media trial against the soldier. Many of us would prefer to see our kids in jail and the terrorist dead rather than vice versa. Demonstrations were held Saturday night and again tonight in protest against the arrest and media trial. The army has reduced the charges against the soldier to manslaughter.

It is important to note that what is seen in the clip is a small fraction of the soldier’s day-to-day experience in the field. While IDF training is excellent in many aspects, it does not sufficiently prepare young soldiers to stand on the streets in locations like Hebron day after day waiting for the likely strike against their unit. Nor is it sufficient to enable them to react to taunting and riots. In fact, IDF soldiers receive “don’t respond” orders while they are subjected to stonings and insults. Their main weapon against protestors is tear gas.

It has gotten so bad that the IDF has used infiltrators dressed as Arab protestors to aid in arresting rioters. Video:

When you understand that all of these attacks and riots are stirred up by ongoing incitement by the EU- and UN-funded Palestinian Authority, and the media smear against Israel is also funded by foreign agents, it is clear that Israel must intensify its crackdown against the FIATs who incite against Israel. Their funding sources should be made fully transparent, a requirement they are fighting tooth and nail. FIATs are only operating to discredit Israel and put its sons on trial in the media. And the media is too lazy and left-leaning to reject produced clips from agents with an agenda.

Hypocrites such as the EU’s Ambassador to Jerusalem, Lars Faaborg-Andersen have the nerve to claim that the EU opposes BDS while paying out hundreds of thousands of shekels to delegitimize Israel. Our sons are willing to stand up for our country, but they should not be put in situations that are simply photo ops for terrorists and their fellow-travelers.

The War of a Million Cuts: The Struggle against the Delegitimization of Israel and the Jews, and the Growth of New Anti-Semitism

by Manfred Gerstenfeld RVP Press, Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (2015). ISBN 978-1-61861-341-7

Rabbi-Abe-CooperBy now, many Jews and other supporters of Zion have experienced one or more of the million cuts inflicted by Israel’s enemies in their burgeoning and multifaceted asymmetrical war against the Jewish state.

I recall vividly the first of many painful blows I experienced myself, as one of the spokesmen for Jewish groups at the ill-fated United Nations World Conference against Racism that was held in Durban South Africa just before September 11, 2001.

I was speaking with a veteran Egyptian journalist who accompanied Anwar Sadat on his historic visit to Jerusalem, when a younger Arab journalist from Jordan happened to pass by. “Ahmed, come here, I would like to introduce you to someone from America.” In the middle of our handshake, the Jordanian abruptly pulled back. “Are you a Jew? Had I known you were a Jew, I never would have shaken your hand,” as he reached to “clean” his hand on his jacket. Throughout the next week, and in full view of over 3,900 NGOs from around the world supposedly united by the goal of “Civil Society,” we Jews were taught a brutal lesson: Israeli policies were not the issue—Israel’s very legitimacy as a state was under assault, led and validated by the official caretakers of global human rights.

Ever since, similar scenarios have played out in leading Protestant denominations, on university campuses, and throughout the media.

How did we get to the point where the memory of Kristallnacht in Germany generates more support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction (BDS) movement than remembering the innocent Jews who suffered the Nazis’ pogroms, where Israel’s Yom Ha’atzmaut (Independence Day) is desecrated by “Israel Apartheid Week,” when First Amendment supporters of free speech in the U.S. can call for total boycotts of Israeli schools and academics?

Dr. Manfred Gerstenfeld’s definitive analysis of the current war on Israel and the Jewish people is a must for anyone who has suffered the indignity of such attacks and wants to develop strategies to defeat the haters.

Gerstenfeld begins with a historic overview of post World War II antisemitism and the mutation of medieval anti-Jewish motifs, and how they help sustain and legitimize highly discriminatory anti-Israel attitudes. The pivotal roles played by United Nations agencies, Arab and Muslim states, Muslims in the western world and the media are documented in a vivid and compelling way. Others include extreme leftist and extreme rightists, many social democrats, NGOs, trade unionists and a variety of mainstream politicians.

A short but critically important chapter provides an outline of one of the most insidious threats—“Lawfare”— where legal institutions and international law are manipulated to demean and delegitimize Israeli officials and cripple the Jewish state’s ability to defend its citizens from terrorist attacks launched by Hamas from literally behind the skirts of civilians in Gaza.

Gerstenfeld also touches a raw nerve in discussing the impact of the tsunami of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish campaigns. Jews have a heightened fear of antisemitic hate crimes. Some Jewish leaders in Europe caution their constituents not to walk in public with a “Chai” necklace or a kippah. Few synagogues in Europe can function without security. Meanwhile, many heavily biased media rarely give a platform to defenders of Israel. In Europe and in particular in France and in Scandinavia, many Jews have opted to hide their identities in public; many thousands in France and the UK have opted for Aliyah.

In covering a multiplicity of many other fronts of the newest forms of the world’s oldest hate, Gerstenfeld does not shirk from detailing the especially painful and harmful incitement by Israelis and Jews against the democratic state that is home to the world’s largest Jewish community. For these critics, the Jewish state can do nothing right and the Palestinians can never be held accountable for any atrocity, however heinous.

Throughout the book, Gerstenfeld asserts that he should have never had to be the one to write it; that it is the responsibility of the Jewish state to formulate proper strategies and tactics to battle and ultimately win this war.

We at the Simon Wiesenthal Center agree with the author that the State of Israel must create a single address to effectively counter the many fronts of this war. The toxic propaganda left unchallenged will not only weaken the Jewish state but also poison attitudes towards the Jews the world over. Gerstenfeld provides the overview of the enemies’ game plan. It is time now for Israel to approach this war as creatively and effectively as it has done in combating its enemies on the military front. The coherence of Gerstenfeld’s analysis and the compelling, if sometimes depressing, narrative of this definitive work, makes it a must read for Israeli officialdom and all lovers of Zion.

Family of Dead Hebron Terrorist Complain No One Has Apologized to Them

The family members of the second terrorist who was shot dead in Hebron last Thursday have been seething in a rage. For one thing, they are upset at what they had seen on the B’Tselem video: that their son, who, together with his buddy, tried to murder an IDF soldier using knives, was killed while lying on the ground. And then as the dead terrorist’s uncle has told several Israeli TV channels: no one has come to apologize to them for the killing, not the prime minister, not the chief of staff. It’s as if would be murderers can be executed in broad daylight nowadays, and no one cares.

OK, the UN cares: the international organization’s Special Coordinator for the Middle East peace process, Nicolay Mladenov has condemned the “gruesome, immoral and unjust act that can only fuel more violence and escalate an already volatile situation” (see today’s story: UN Slams IDF Soldier’s ‘Gruesome, Immoral’ Killing of Terrorist in Hebron). But you’d think someone from the IDF would come to say they’re sorry. Maybe a procession of MKs gathering to honor the brave martyr?

Israel Uses Facebook to Foil Terrorist Attacks

After six months of a terror wave comprised mainly of “lone wolves,” individuals who decide on the spur of the moment to go out and kill Jews, making it impossible for security forces to identify them in advance — it appears that Israel’s security apparatus has come up with a solution, Channel 10 News reported Sunday. In fighting terrorism it is crucial to receive early warnings about upcoming attacks, and Shabak, in collaboration with Military Intelligence and the IDF Central Command, has managed to develop an algorithm which responds to incitement key words — mostly in Facebook posts.

Israeli security forces report that dozens of potential attacks have been prevented or foiled in mid-execution relying on the new method.

It appears that the inspiration for the algorithm came from the PA security apparatus, which has been keeping watch on the social networks to arrest dozens of potential attackers. But while Israel arrests and punishes the terrorist wannabes, the PA only issues them warnings.

Israeli leftwing media have been complaining since last October that the IDF prosecutor in Judea and Samaria has been processing numerous cases in which the indictments came down to catching the accused in sharing the picture of a shahid (martyr). Addameer, an NGO defending Arab prisoners’ affairs and human rights, cited as many as 150 cases brought in since October, where the sole, or central charge has been incitement over social networks.
