A chilling new video has emerged from Syria purporting the show the aftermath of a napalm attack by President Bashar al-Assad’s warplanes.
Filmed in a rebel-held neighbourhood in the besieged city of Darayya, the footage shows a number buildings burning with the rubble covered in what appears to be a flammable liquid or gel.
Activists were quick the claim that the substance was napalm – the use of which is banned in civilian areas by the United Nations Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons.
Pro-regime sources claimed a conventional bomb had simply struck a fuel production facility, however, which they insisted had caused the blaze and was why the rubble was covered in liquid.
