Finnish media Media activism media bias YLE

FINNISH STATE NEWS BROADCASTER YLE STAYS TRUE TO FORM, 16 HEADLINES IN LAST TWO DAYS WITH NO MENTION OF PALESTINIAN ROCKET ATTACKS……..

Very typical situation here.

They consistently reject the actual reality on the ground (and in the air) and substitute it with a reality of their own making. How they even manage to call themselves ‘journalists’ and not break out into uncontrolled laughter is beyond me.

  1. Finnish state TV (Yle) propaganda is constructed in the following way:
    – exclusive focus on Gaza and the Palestinians
    – almost total disregard of any Israeli viewpoint
    – downplay the importance of rockets launched by the Palestinians
    – make rocket fire look like a ‘bold’ and ‘defiant’ act in the face of Israeli aggression

Compared to previous Yle Middle East correspondents Tapani Hannikainen leaves a more balanced impression unlike his predecessors Sanna Negus and Leena Reikko. However, the bias lies in the topics Yle chooses to cover and highlight.
