TERROR-TARDS PLAN TO RESURRECT AL-QAIDA IN GULF REGION……..

Oh, and please do note that the ArabsNews article emphasizes a point that this branch of Muslim terrorists supposedly lack of functioning knowledge of sharia, as opposed to those who lead al-Qaida.

Interesting.

It then leads me to underline a point within the anti-Islamization movement: al-Qaida is more a mainstream Muslim movement than the Islamic community would have you believe.

More here.

  1. I don’t know where you got this article from, but something is seemingly a bit fishy about it when it states: “This group is run by more than one person and….(up till) want to destabilize security in the region.”

This paragraph is sort of implying that Wahhabism has been going unchallenged in KSA up to this point. It also seems to suggest that in KSA, there’s only one viable source of Salafism, i.e. the Wahhabi variant. Actually, Wahhabis are Salafis, but not all Salafis are Wahhabis. In fact, Wahhabism is institutionalized Salafism that keeps a tight rein over the subjects in KSA and that is innately intertwined with the temporal rule of the Saudi fiefs. The al Qaeda network however really took off when the Saudi monarchy decided to call in American (and hence, infidel) military help to save its bacon when Kuwait was invaded. Which in fact angered Osama Bin Laden, who, with the idea of al wala wal bara (the presence of infidels stains the purity of Islam) in the back of his mind, took this as a dire affront to his attempt to provide Salafi militants to this cause, which was rejected by the Saudi king.

Don’t be mistaken to think that there’s only one type of Salafism, because Salafis are equally prone to infighting among themselves. As a matter of fact, the Wahhabis fear some other Salafi groups on their own patch more than the Salafi groups they themselves are funding abroad, particularly for this very reason: as long as foreigners (military AND civilian) are present in KSA, some Salafi groups will claim that the Wahhabi government is un-Islamic and hence heretical, totally illegitimate !

The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. Take a close look at the Wikipedia entry for Terrorism in Saudi Arabia at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_in_Saudi_Arabia and it becomes immediately apparent that this is nothing new in fact.

  2. Last but not least, the reference to “superficial knowledge of Sharia and religious studies” to me seems an obvious PC MC way of skewing things, as if Saud-instated Wahhabism can be designated as a type of “high-brow, intellectual Islam” and their enemies, the self-proclaimed moral elites of Salafi militants on the other hand, “boorish proponents of backward Islam”, i.e. “misunderstanders” of Islam.

Don’t be fooled. Although there is a myriad of Salafi movements around that don’t see eye to eye most of the time, their viewpoints don’t really differ all that much, no matter what the MSM want to believe.

  3. Osama Bin Laden: “for the Muslim Saudi monarchy to invite non-Muslim American troops to fight against Muslim Iraqi soldiers was a serious violation of Islamic law”

The British newspaper The Independent has quoted bin Laden as saying:

“The ordinary man knows that Saudi Arabia is the largest oil producer in the world, yet at the same time he is suffering from taxes and bad services. Now the people understand the speeches of the ulemas in the mosques–that our country has become an American colony. They act decisively with every action to kick the Americans out of Saudi Arabia. What happened in Riyadh and Dhahran when 24 Americans were killed in two bombings is clear evidence of the huge anger of Saudi people against America. The Saudis now know their real enemy is America.” [From The Washington Post 8/23/98]

Several months after being expelled from the Sudan, bin Laden issues his “Declaration of War Against the Americans Who Occupy the Land of the Two Holy Mosques.” It reads, in part:

“Muslims burn with anger at America. For its own good, America should leave Saudi Arabia. There is no more important duty than pushing the American enemy out of the holy land. The presence of the USA Crusader military forces on land, sea and air of the states of the Islamic Gulf is the greatest danger threatening the largest oil reserve in the world. The existence of these forces in the area will provoke the people of the country and induces aggression on their religion, feelings and prides and pushes them to take up armed struggle against the invaders occupying the land. Due to the imbalance of power between our armed forces and the enemy forces, a suitable means of fighting must be adopted, i.e. using fast-moving, light forces that work under complete secrecy. In other words, to initiate a guerrilla war, where the sons of the nation, and not the military forces, take part in it.”

Everything Osama Bin Laden has said about these issues is actually screaming al wala wal bara at us, plus a vehement disdain some Salafis have for Saudi Wahhabism. In displaying a lack of confidence in their own military capacity by turning to American help, the Wahhabi House of Saud has sealed its fate: it can be presented as untrustworthy, disingeneous, heretical and treacherously decadent as a consequence, which is the perfect rhetoric a dissenting Salafi movement can build upon to rouse the masses against the monarchy and present itself as authentic Islam.

Which is why the House of Saud fears these people more than anyone else.
