Things have become mighty restless on the Egyptian side of the border ever since Mubarak was overthrown.
A group of armed men opened fire on Sunday on peacekeeping troops in Egypt’s Sinai peninsula on the border with Israel, a security source in Sinai said.
“The attack happened in Um Shyhan area in the middle of Sinai but no one got injured,” the source said.
The incident came just days after the start of a military operation in the area against terrorists suspected of being behind a bloody attack on Egyptian border guards last Sunday, which killed 16.
From the Abbas link, I thought it was just uk politicians who unashamedly changed their minds thinking nobody had a memory. So Arabs can tighten security at borders but Israel can’t – when Israel retaliate to aggressive Islamist terrorists these terrorists are called poor Palestinians or oppressed freedom fighters, and the whole world is screaming crying and lobbying western governments, however, when all Arab countries go after the same terrorists these same poor Palestinians are called by their proper name, islamic terrorists, with no crying or lobbying or screams of disproportionate response. The whole Islamic/arabb world is hypocritical.
