Kosovo Albanians in Finland Rejoice Over Independence Declaration…….

Kosovo delcared its independence from Serbia, and Kosovars in Finland are thanking former Finnish president, Martti Ahtisaari, for all of his help. But what does it all mean for the future of Europe? The situation in that war torn region of the world is to say the least, one of irony and of frustrations for all concerned.

The majority of Kosovars are ethnic Albanian Muslims that took up residence within Christian Serbian Kosovo centuries ago, ethnic Serbs who chose to remain in what they consider the birthplace or cradle of Serbia nationalism, now form only a miniscule minority. What does Kosovo independence for the Albanian Kosovar Mulsims mean for the rest of Europe? One would have to ask whether such a development offers an example for the rest of Europe’s Muslims once they acheive a majority in the areas they now reside?

The Tundra Tabloids believes that the rest of Europes’ politicians haven’t thought that far in advance, including Finland’s former president Martti Ahtisaari. Is Europe spearheading the drive for another Muslim state in Europe just to show how Muslim friendly they’re to the rest of the Islamic world?

When the Tundra Tabloids was in Belgium last year for the Counter-Jihad Conference, I happened to catch a ride early in the morning, with an Albanian Kosovar delivering bread. If this guy is any indicator of what the average Kosovar thinks of the world around him/herself, it doesn’t bode well for the future.

Upon hearing that I was from Finland he expressed his admiration for Finland’s former president, Martti Ahtisaari, –who was currently then trying to get Kosovo to become an independent state– and spoke about all the problems Muslims are currently facing around the world. What I find interesting is his focus on the areas of conflict –Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine– as examples of victimization of Muslims by the West.

Here is a guy that works rather freely in Europe, very friendly and from a supposed “moderate” Muslim region inside Europe, but he chooses to identify the West as the oppressors…. not Iran, the Saudis and the former Iraqi regime as the worst violators of Muslim human/civil rights.

The TT is not to overly optimisitic of what the future will look like once an independent Kosovo gains recognition from the rest of the world. I am no friend of the Putin led government in Moscow, and realize the atrocities that were carried out by the Serbs were cruel and barbaric, but what has not been talked about is the role that ethnic Albanian Kosovars have played in ethnically cleansing areas within Kosovo of ethnic Serbs, one wrong does not validate another wrong. You see, the Albanians can be as cruel as the next guy, and they have been far from being innocent victims.

Will an independent Kosovo help to increase the heroin drug trade within Europe? It’s only conjecture but it’s a thought worth contimplating, as the Islamic jihad increases its drug portfolio to help sponsor its Islamist agenda in the heart of Europe. Words of advice, when it’s Islamism involved, drop all the high minded thoughts of living peacefully together through a policy of appeasement and nice sounding words.

This is just one more advance of Islam into the heart of Europe, and Finland was leading the charge. More here on Finland’s Kosovars celebrating. *L* KGS

NOTE: Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs has more on the Kosovo Albanians. A REAL EYE OPENER.

UPDATE: 18.02.08 / 12:09 Finnish Minister Elisabeth Rehn (former minister of defence) thinks that “the Kosovo model” will not spread to the rest of Europe. The MTV3 news report gives no indication how she can be so sure, which would be very interesting to hear, but it did say that she expressed “concerns” over the remaining Serbs in the Muslim Albanian enclave.

The Finnish president, Tarja Halonen (and Conan O’Brian look alike) is chomping at the bit as well. “If independence proves to be the best solution for Kosovo, Europe and the world, then we should support it.”

She’s of course all for it, Halonen is just guarding her words like all good Finnish politicians where Russia is concerned.

Cancel one Tarja Halonen for one John Bolton any day of the week. JB:

Independent Kosovo will endanger the stability in the Balkans once again, estimated the American ambassador at the UN, John Bolton. I think that there is a significant risk that the instability in the Balkans will continue in Bosnia and other areas where ethnic groups do not live in a country they refuse, said Bolton in an interview for Glas Amerike reported in Serbian language. Kosovo will be a weak country submissive to Islamic radical forces which will spread its influence in the area with the support of singular Albanians and so potentially open the door to radicals in Europe, Bolton estimated.

  1. You mention “the atrocities that were carried out by the Serbs were cruel and barbaric”. What atrocities? The three market place bombings in Bosnia are now known to have been perpetrated by Muslims that had pre-placed Western journalists nearby to quickly blame the Serbs (this has been confirmed by UN personnel on the ground at the time). It is now known that there was no mass murder of Kosovo Muslims by Serbs – that was German intelligence disinformation. The one major act of ethnic cleansing was perpetrated by Croatia (with American backing) against the 120,000 Serbs of the Krajina. I’m Armenian and know something about mass murder and genocide; the Serbs committed no acts of mass murder or genocide against Muslims. The Serbs suffered the most – most people don’t know this because the Western press knew but didn’t report it.
