Laughable Finnish response: President Niinistö insists “More dialogue needed with Iranian regime……!”

A total empty suit…

No, you don’t do dialogue with a regime that’s committed to engaging in hostile activities, impervious to negotiations that seek to end their ability to carry out hostile acts. You put your boot to its throat until it gasps for mercy.

Finnish President: “Crucial moment for US-Iran relations”

The international community must use all means to engage in dialogue, the president said.

Finland’s President, Sauli Niinistö, has spoken out after US airstrikes on Friday killed Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani.

“After the events in Baghdad the relationship between the United States and Iran is in a critical state. There is a danger of a cycle that is difficult to break. Its impacts threaten to extend also beyond the region,” Niinistö said in a statement issued by his office.

Niinistö said he had contacted the Finnish Prime Minister as well as the Swedish premier regarding the events.

“I have reached out to Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven as well as to other key Finnish ministers,” he explained.

The president highlighted that Finland and Sweden work with a US-led coalition in Iraq known as Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), which aims to coordinate and strengthen international cooperation against Isis.

“Both Finland and Sweden have OIR troops in Iraq, and our embassies in Iraq work at joint premises.”

Some 80 Finns are a part of the operation, according to the Finnish Defence Forces.
