In any totalitarian society, to get rid of your opposition or someone who just stands in your way, accuse him with something that offends the state and off he/she goes.
The political elite in Europe act in a similar way with those who oppose their misguided and very destructive polices. If they can’t win an argument, they take you to court and prosecute you under some ambiguous and obnoxious legal code.
