Islam in the UK Sam Solomon UKIP

FINALLY, SAM SOLOMON’S ‘PROPOSED CHARTER OF MUSLIM UNDERSTANDING’ REACHES THE MSM……

But in the least likely of places imagined (The Guardian), and of course, stupidly, they use it as a means to cause embarrassment for UKIP, though the exact opposite will result. Sam Solomon’s ”The Proposed Charter of Muslim Understanding” is a call for moderation within the Muslim community, it’s a charter that any rabbi, priest or minister could sign on to, whole heartedly.

That supposed ”moderate” Muslims take to chastising it instead of signing its praises, says more about them, then the charter itself. I personally would like to thank The Guardian for making the charter available online for its readers, who will see for themselves how moderate, liberal and even handed it is, and that anyone rejecting it, will be the ones looked upon as reactionary and illiberal.

In a statement to the Guardian, Batten later said: “I would expect the fundamentalists to agree with me that democracy is incompatible with fundamentalist Islam. Moderate Muslims have to decide which side of the argument they are on.

Ukip MEP says British Muslims should sign charter rejecting violence

Gerard Batten, Ukip’s immigration spokesman, proposed ban on new European mosques and says Qur’an needs updating

A Ukip MEP believes that British Muslims should sign a special code of conduct and warns that it was a big mistake for Europe to allow “an explosion of mosques across their land”.

Gerard Batten, who represents London and is member of the party’s executive, told the Guardian on Tuesdaythat he stood by a “charter of Muslim understanding”, which he commissioned in 2006.

The document asks Muslims to sign a declaration rejecting violence and says parts of the Qur’an that promote “violent physical Jihad” should be regarded as “inapplicable, invalid and non-Islamic”.

Critics said his comments represent the “ugliest side of Ukip” and “overlap with the far-right”, in spite of the efforts of party leader Nigel Farage to create a disciplined election machine ahead of the European elections.

Asked on Tuesday about the charter, Batten told the Guardian he had written it with a friend, who is an Islamic scholar, and could not see why “any reasonable, normal person” would object to signing it.

Batten also repeated his view that some Muslim texts need updating, claiming some say “kill Jews wherever you find them and various things like that”.

“If that represents the thinking of modern people, there’s something wrong, in which case maybe they need to revise their thinking. If they say they can’t revise their thinking on those issues, then who’s got the problem – us or them?” he added.

  1. Let us consider the hypothetical situation that ALL Muslims at present living in the West, accepted the call, under the threat of expulsion, to clean up their communities of extremism . They even went further and made changes in their teachings of the Koran and the jihad. Such an outcome would no doubt come as a relief to many on this site, the government, the MSM, and elsewhere. But I counter, that all such changes were being done merely to protect the ummah while it grows at ever-increasing pace in the West. Once a near majority is achieved, that future generation of Muslims will simply revoke any changes(Taqqiya is advocated for Muslims when under stress), and return to the traditions of the unchanging and unchangeable Koran i.e., the canonical texts of Islam that cannot be changed, but only protected when under duress. That future generation of Muslims in the UK or the West, will even praise this generation of Muslims for having done what was necessary to protect Islam.
