The right to insult, pun, mock and ridicule is embedded within free speech rights. It doesn’t mean that you can march into someone’s living room and shout whatever comes to mind, but it does mean that in the privacy of your home, or in the street corners of society, you have the unalienable right to freely speak your mind, as long as it’s speech not advocating violence against another of course.
Islam is not above any other ideology or belief system, nor is it’s self described holy symbols above reproach. Treating that ideology as we do all others, is an exercise in equal treatment, failure to do so, whether through intimidation and fear, or from a sense of compassion, is in fact…… a blatant act of bigotry.
