MISSION COMPLETED FOR EGYPT’S ‘ARAB-SPRING’: LOWER HOUSE VOTES TO NAME ISRAEL ENEMY NUMBER ONE……..

Egypt’s 33-year-old peace treaty with Israel, that much closer to annulment.

On Monday, Egyptian MPs voted by a show of hands on the text of a report, which was compiled by the Arab Affairs Committee of the People’s Assembly (lower house of parliament).

“Revolutionary Egypt will never be a friend, partner or ally of the Zionist entity, which we consider to be the number one enemy of Egypt and the Arab nation,” the report declared, adding, “It will deal with that entity as an enemy, and the Egyptian government is hereby called upon to review all its relations and accords with that enemy.”

In 1979, Egypt became the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel, but was compelled to agree to supply gas to Israel as one of the main economic conditions of the US-sponsored peace deal.

  1. Well this is certainly proof of Obama’s inept handling of Middle East affairs. I’m no fan of Hillary Clinton, but at least she was for continuing to prop up Mubarak. So far Obama has opted out of upsetting both the Iranian and Syrian regimes, while supporting or aiding the Egyptians and Libyans who at least paid some lip service to the peace agenda and held the Islamic brotherhood in check. Don’t forget that the first black American president also has nothing to say about Sudanese genocide and slavery.

    1. Hi Chanah, the impostor-in-chief wants to rearrange the geo-politics of the region regardless of what comes from his efforts. He’s a disaster, and his feckless Sec-State should have resigned if she had an ounce of spine and common sense. You’re absoultely right about the Sudanese genocide and slavery issue, Obama has been mute.
