In answering a reporter’s question as to why the Department of Homeland Security does not look closer at Muslim males 35 and under as potential suspects for terrorism, the dept. head Janet Napolitano gives the following idiotic statement:
You have not given me a technique for tactic or behavior. Something that would suggest somebody is not Muslim, but Islamic, that has actually moved into the category of violent extremists,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said at a forum on U.S. security and preventing terrorist attacks.
The Tundra Tabloids is giving her the benefit of doubt her and believes that she meant to say, “is not an average practicing Muslim (read=moderate) but an active Islamist (actually a pious Muslim taking the words of his prophet seriously)”. Still, it’s an idiotic statement as well as a policy. The Israelis profile quite successfully.
Follow the link to Real Clear Politics and watch how politically correct the reporter tries to be in asking why the DHS is not profiling the exact demographic group responsible for the jihad. It’s a fascinating display of trying not to sound like a bigot, when in fact it was nothing more than a common sense question. KGS
