FINLAND CELEBRATES ITS ICE HOCKEY CHAMPIONS FOR 2011……

UPDATE: Rowdy Finns crossed northern border with Sweden to rub in the salt. Fortunately they don’t represent the overwhelming number of Finns who are actually good sports vis-a-vis the Swedes.

MORE HERE.

Den glider in
den glider in
den glider in
i mål igen
Vi ska kämpa
vi ska ge
alt det vi har
vi ska ta
gul igen

Vi har gjort det förut
vi gör det igen
jag nu slår vi dom alla en efter en
och med publikens härliga stöd
en vilja av stål och med kämpaglöd
dä skall man inte kunna beserga vårat låg
yeah,

Den glider in,
vou, u, vou, u, vou, u…
Hylands ord dom lever kvar
här gladje alla känner och har
när pucken glider i mål
har man hört publikens vrål
yeah

  1. I guess Israel wasn’t the only nation with a massive illegal border-crossing problem the past few days. :+)

Congratulations, KGS. That must have been thrilling. Here in the upper Midwest, both the Blackhawks and Redwings are eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs. UM Wolverines came up just short of winning an NCAA championship. It’s nice to see somebody enjoying a championship.

I don’t know anything about ice hockey, but congratulations KGS. Huge crowd by the way!
