The truth behind why anti-Semitism is on the rise in Scandinavia, is mostly due to the socialists’ (and their faux conservative lackeys) pandering to their Muslim constituency. In short, they are loathe to criticize the very people that they hang their hopes on maintaining their welfare state, and who make up a formidable voting block.
The overwhelming percentage of Muslims in Europe hold negative views on Jews, they are intensified in Scandinavia where the governments have helped to foment the anti-Jewish behavior, like in the case of the Mayor of Malmö Sweden, Ilmar Reepalu. Muslims in Scandinavia feel emboldened to hate Jews even more due to the friendly reception their anti-Israel (read anti-Jewish) rhetoric gets from heads of state.
Scandinavia is a petri dish for anti-Israel/Jewish initiatives, with both Norway and Sweden racing to the bottom of the barrel to see which one can scrape it first. Finland is not even close to being in their league, though there are some elements that would love to join in on the hate-Israel/Jew frenzy. There is simply not enough Muslims in Finland for that to happen, yet. KGS
Why Does Scandinavia Hate Jews?
by Giulio Meotti
Once a haven for Jews, Sweden is a hotbed of anti-Semitism. Norway is just as bad. What does that say about Europe?
During the Second World War, the German universities banned many famous Jewish intellectuals such as T.W. Adorno and Albert Einstein. Now, three universities in Norway turned down the Jewish lawyer and author Alan Dershowitz, who had offered free lectures on Israel and international law.
Jews in Norway are just 0.003 percent of the total population, but Oslo is a bulwark of global anti-Semitism and Israel- slandering. What is the root of the Nordic hatred? Norway is the paradise of political correctness, multiculturalism and anti-war feelings. It’s the country that, according to the Global Peace Index, for years has topped the list of the most “peaceful” places in the world. Oslo is, after all, the capital of the “Israeli-Palestinian Peace Accord”.
But last year, the Norwegian government divested from two Israeli economic giants who work in Judea and Samaria. Norway’s sovereign wealth fund (that administers the oil profits) divested from the Israeli company Elbit, because it has worked on the Israeli fence that blocked the suicide bombers.
