SHOCKER: OBAMA TO ASK FOR BRAND NEW SPENDING IN STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS……!

Gee, I thought all that stimulus money was supposed to do all that? The man is not trying to build an economy, he’s desperately trying to demolish it. He’s going after the middle income earners and the ‘bourgeois’.  KGS

Obama to Push New Spending

President Barack Obama will call for new government spending on infrastructure, education and research in his State of the Union address Tuesday, sharpening his response to Republicans in Congress who are demanding deep budget cuts, people familiar with the speech said.

Mr. Obama will argue that the U.S., even while trying to reduce its budget deficit, must make targeted investments to foster job growth and boost U.S. competitiveness in the world economy. The new spending could include initiatives aimed at building the renewable-energy sector—which received billions of dollars in stimulus funding—and rebuilding roads to improve transportation, people familiar with the matter said. Money to restructure the No Child Left Behind law’s testing mandates and institute more competitive grants also could be included.

  1. “In the House, Republicans are pushing to cut $100 billion from the annual budget as soon as this year”

If true, that figure only accounts for less than 10% of the budget DEFICIT. In other words, for a country the size of the USA, it’s not that much and it should be rather achievable and relatively painless.

Watching President O’Bama gallop around with GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt is indicative of O’Bama’s “no big corporation left behind” policy. 1/2 of GE’s revenues come from GE Capital making GE’s operations largely that of a bank. No corporation stands to benefit from the O’Bama Administration’s largess more than GE. It should come as no surprise that GE-owned NBC was a major cheerleader for the O’Bama campaign during the 2008 election. Jeffrey Immelt is hoping Americans have forgotten.

    1. The thing Republicans should be demanding from Democrats, is a list of domestic programs that they would be willing to slash. They are loathe to name them. They will always be for increasing government entitlements which takes the largest slice of the general operating funds. You’re absolutely right TINSC, this is crony capitalism up front and center for the naked eye to see, yet, the Dems claim to be for the little guy. BS.
