Wilders: I’ll Hand Deliver Fitna DVD if Need be…….

US web server Network Solutions pulls Geert Wilders’ website offline for an investigation as to whether it violated its policy rules. But wait, they haven’t even seen the film, Fitna, the 15 minute movie critical of the Qur’an. Though Wilders’ website might be down, the Dutch politician with the golden hair -and a spine of steel- is definitely not out, he plans to get his movie distributed one way or the other.

It’s both amazing and disgusting to witness the highly dhimmi-like attitude of the US web server, Network Solutions. I believe that Geert Wilders chose an American server just for that reason, censorship, not being convinced that a European server that wouldn’t react in the same way as Network solutions is currently behaving.

Shame on Network Solutions for pulling the site, and if they end up refusing Wilders the right to show his video at all, then I hope NS receives soo much bad publicity for their censorship reflects in their pocketbooks.

A U.S.-based web service, which Islam critic and Dutch right-wing lawmaker Geert Wilders planned to use to show his film critical of the Koran, said on Saturday that it had inactivated the site due to complaints. “This site has been suspended while Network Solutions is investigating whether the site’s content is in violation of the Network Solutions Acceptable Use Policy,” the company said on the site www.fitnathemovie.com.

Wilders, who has given few details about his 15-minute film, has said he plans to release ‘Fitna’ on the Internet before the end of the month after Dutch broadcasters declined to show it. Fitna is a Koranic term sometimes translated as “strife”. Wilders still plans to show his film despite the setback, Dutch agency ANP reported.

“If need be, I will personally distribute DVDs in the Dam,” ANP quoted him as saying. The Dam is the central square in Amsterdam, popular with both the Dutch and tourists.

There has to be a webserver somewhere in the West willing to take on the project and give space to Wilders. I believe that one will be found in the event Network Solutions proves to be the network without the right solution. More here. *L* KGS

There is probably some sort of financial coercion or intimidation going on behind the scenes. When petrodollars get reinvested and personalities buy influence on corporate boards, government agencies, or academic committees otherwise honorable people can be held hostage. It would be interesting to know where Network Solutions gets its money from and just who sits on its board. Something smells really bad about this situation. There must be some arm twisting going on behind the scenes here – and it would not at all be surprising if it were EU gov’t types doing it, champions of liberty and freedom that they are.

I doubt that Network Solutions is the ultimate villain in this censorship effort.

Just cant believe it! Waited for the film so much. I suppose freedom of speech is already extinct in Europe because freedom of speech is when you know that you won`t be killed for what you are saying. Europe has given uo its precious freedoms even without fighting, and now is shutting mouth to the last people who dare to protect the ideas Europe came to for so long….

The site NetSol shut down was not Wilders. It apparently acted as a dummy and a diversion.

Millions and millions are quiting Islam every year; in Africa 16,000 leave Islam everyday, according to Faithfreedom.org.

All freedom starts with freedom of speech. If there is no freedom of speech, there will be no freedom. The Christians and Jews don’t riot when somebody makes fun of Christ or Jews. People must learn to be civilized. Rioting MUST not be tolerated.

That’ll be great if there’s not much rioting, how very mature that would be. Geert Wilders is a hero spreading the painful truth. He MUST be protected!

There’s No Common Cultural Legacy For The Alt-Right

Still, is there something to it? Is there a common heritage that will cover El Greco and Hume and Dostoyevsky? Is there one that can include the Jacobites and the Jacobins? There is, but it is not racial, and white supremacists reject it because it rejects them. The unifying heritage of Europe is religious and philosophical. It is Jerusalem and Athens, in one famous formulation. Christian religion and Greek philosophy, filtered through Roman law and culture, are the foundation of European culture. The tensions, agreements, developments and settlements between these have shaped the Western world, and these roots of Western civilization are not congenial to white supremacy.

Christianity is universal in its message and Jewish in its origins. For centuries after its founding, Christianity’s center was the Mediterranean world, including Asia Minor and North Africa. Christianity has never been defined by race, and locally-grown racist heresies are only sustainable among those ignorant of Christianity’s teachings, origins and history.

Greek philosophy is likewise ill-suited to serve as a basis for white identity. It is either too universal (addressing the human condition in general) or too local—none of us live as citizens of an ancient Greek polis. Later philosophical developments in Europe, such as the philosophies of the Enlightenment, likewise tend to be too universal for white supremacists seeking a tribal identity. As for the scientific revolution that developed within Western culture (albeit with much borrowed from outside Europe), math doesn’t care what color someone is.

War is being waged against Western culture from within which is in essence a war against Christianity and its moral origins in the Hebrew Bible. By attacking these Biblical foundations in the name of reason and human rights, the culture warriors of secularism are sawing off the branch on which they sit. The only way to defend Western civilisation is to reaffirm and restore its Biblical foundations. My argument is a development of ideas I first explored in my 2012 book The World Turned Upside Down: The Global Battle over God, Truth and Power.

We are living in an era which extols reason, science and human rights. These are said to be essential for progress, a civilised society and the betterment of humanity. Religion is said to be their antithesis, the source instead of superstitious mumbo-jumbo, oppression and backward-thinking.

Some of this hostility is being driven by the perceived threat from Islamic terrorism and the Islamisation of Western culture. However, this animus against religion has far deeper roots and can be traced back to what is considered the birthplace of Western reason, the 18th-century Enlightenment.

Actually, it goes back specifically to the French Enlightenment. In England and Scotland, the Enlightenment developed reason and political liberty within the framework of Biblical belief. In France, by contrast, anti-clericalism morphed into fundamental hostility to Christianity and to religion itself.

“Ecrasez l’infame,” said Voltaire (crush infamy) — the infamy to which he referred being not just the Church but Christianity, which he wanted to replace with the religion of reason, virtue and liberty, “drawn from the bosom of nature”.

Perfecting society

But this Enlightenment did not remove religion so much as pervert it. It took millenarian fantasies, the idea that the perfection of the world was at hand, and it secularised them. Instead of God producing heaven on earth, it would be mankind which would bring that about. Reason would create the perfect society and “progress” was the process by which utopia would be attained.
