Baptism of Former Muslim Proves Pipes Correct And Tariq Ramadan a Liar…….

The silver tongued Islamist apologist, Tariq Ramadan, has received another royal drubbing with the conversion of former Muslim, Magdi Allam to Christianity (pictured). There has been a history of words exchanged between the two academics, Middle East analyst and commentator Dr.Daniel Pipes and Swiss Muslim theologian, Tariq Ramadan.
The former was falsely accused by the Islamist apologist, Tariq Ramadan, that he lied about the religion of Magdi Allam in a conference in London in 2007. The Muslim Weekly has recently apologized to Pipes for an article that repeated the false allegation spread by Ramadan, who was seated in the audience during the panel discussion.

Now comes more evidence (not that any more was needed) that further vindicates Daniel Pipes, while highlighting Ramadan’s disingenuous behaviour, in the batism of Magdi Allam by Pope Benedict in an open ceremony in Rome.

Italy’s most prominent Muslim, an iconoclastic writer who condemned Islamic extremism and defended Israel, converted to Catholicism Saturday in a baptism by the pope at a Vatican Easter service.

An Egyptian-born, non-practicing Muslim who is married to a Catholic, Magdi Allam infuriated some Muslims with his books and columns in the newspaper Corriere della Sera newspaper, where he is a deputy editor. He titled one book “Long Live Israel.” As a choir sang, Pope Benedict XVI poured holy water over Allam’s head and said a brief prayer in Latin.

We no longer stand alongside or in opposition to one another,” Benedict said in a homily reflecting on the meaning of baptism. “Thus faith is a force for peace and reconciliation in the world: distances between people are overcome, in the Lord we have become close.” Vatican Television zoomed in on Allam, who sat in the front row of the basilica along with six other candidates for baptism. He later received his first Communion.

So much for the veracity of Tariq Ramadan, who has been proven to be time and again, a highly slippery and disingenuous propagator of Islamism in Europe. The article goes further to cast suspicion on the reasons why Allam chose such a high profile conversion, though it’s quite obvious that it would signal to a wider audience that he had never been a Christian until then.
