Saudi Men Phased Out Of Women’s Lingerie…….

The Saudi government intends to phase out the use of male sales clerks in women’s lingerie depts, a move that would increase the level of women working outside the home, while creating some measure of financial independence. One curious thing however, is that the same article notes a study which claims 60% percent of Saudi women prefer to work within the home if at all possible. A somewhat questionable finding, since the male dominated Saudi society has already determined that women are not even allowed to drive a car. More here.

I suspect that the study is somewhat tainted, but the latest move by the Saudi gov’t to create a workplace for women is encouraging and should be supported. KGS
