These Palestinian kids were messing around with a live ordinance (not pictured) when it exploded in their faces. No, the explosive device wasn’t something manufactured and fired from Israel, it most likely took place in an area that is frequently used as a launching site for Qassem rockets into Israeli civilian centers.
” A large explosion in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya on Tuesday killed an eight-year-old boy and his six-year-old sister and injured five other children, Palestinian health officials said.
Witnesses said a group of children stumbled upon a homemade rocket or a mortar shell and began playing with it. The device exploded, injuring all seven children, one of whom died later of her wounds. Another boy was in critical condition. “
That the Palestinians choose to use their own civilian centers as military zones, is the reason why these children got their hands on the explosive ordinance in the first place. Last year a similar tragedy occurred when a Palestinian mine (planted on a public beach) exploded, killing a large portion of a family. This kind of gross negligence is unfortunately standard operating procedures for the Palestinians. More here. *L* KGS
