US US Constitution

Bannon to target every Republican RINO running for senate reelection …….

Stop with the ”nationalist-populist” bull crap, return to a Tea Party conservative platform, otherwise, I’m all in…

I think Bannon is just picking up where the Tea Party activists began, and providing the voice and activism/clout. What I do reject is the acceptance of European concept of populism and nationalism which are an oxymoron in the US constitutional dynamic. If the Founders and Framers wanted nationalism and populism, their founding document would reflect that, but it doesn’t.

I do not like politicians telling business (free, individual sovereignty) people where they can do business, where they can set up shop and with whom. This is America dammit, not some 3rd world backwater country. That said, I believe Bannon has more good going for him and the US then 3/4 of the US political class, so I support his efforts and will criticize him where I think he’s wrong.

Bannon will back primary challenges against EVERY Republican running for Senate re-election next year except Cruz – as Trump’s former strategist hatches plan to boot McConnell from majority leader job

  • Ex-White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is planning a political assault on six Republican Senate incumbents, running for re-election next year
  • Previously, Bannon had looked to oust Sens. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., Dean Heller, R-Nev., and Roger Wicker, R-Miss
  • Now he’s expanded that list to take on every Republican running in 2018, except Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas
  • With Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., retiring, Bannon is already looking at Tea Party favorite, Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., as a suitable replacement
  • Bannon-backed candidates must promise to vote against Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., for majority leader and must support killing the filibuster
  • Trump’s former top strategist already won one victory, having successfully backed Roy Moore in Alabama, over the Trump-baked Sen. Luther Strange

Now President Trump’s ex-White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is eyeing every Republican senator up for re-election next year, positioning candidates in each race save one, the seat belonging to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

Bannon’s main aim is to elect enough pro-Trump GOP senators to oust Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who he’s largely blamed for the president’s early stumbles with Congress, casting the Kentuckian as an elitist looking down at Trump’s working class base.

‘Mitch McConnell and this permanent political class is the most corrupt and incompetent group of individuals in this country,’ Bannon said at a recent rally for Roy Moore, the GOP Senate candidate who won a run-off primary against Sen. Luther Strange, R-Ala., last month.
