Finnish President Sauli Niinistö has offered his condolences over the deadly shooting in Munich, Germany on Friday evening.
Niinistö sent his letter of condolence to German President Joachim Gauck.
In his message President Niinistö expresses his deepest synpathy, in the name of the Finnish people, to the families and close friends of the victims of the attack and to the nation of Germany.
Foreign Minister Timo Soini and Prime Minister Juha Sipilä also sent out their deepest condolences on social media, with Sipilä saying he was “deeply shocked” by the acts of violence.
Nine people were killed and 16 injured yesterday when a German-Iranian man opened fire in a shopping mall in Munich before taking his own life.
