Mohamed would be proud.
Riveting upon the Assyrian, Chaldean, and Syrian Orthodox Christian populations of northern Iraq (then Mesopotamia), and eastern Anatolia, historian David Gaunt’s pioneering 2006 study described their horrific plight under the Ottomans in 1915. Gaunt noted that “an intense extermination of the Christians was completed in a short period between June and September 1915”—killings on a grisly scale of magnitude far beyond ISIL’s exploits. Most of the 250,000 eventually slaughtered during the years between 1914 and 1919 were killed in this compressed 4-month time frame.
There is another more significant, yet equally verboten truth about ISIL’s jihad. The carnage presently wrought by these avatars of a revitalized Caliphate, simply mirrors, in all its gory, and seemingly depraved detail, the actions of their Ottoman Caliphate “prototype” forbears—also abetted by local Muslims—vis-à-vis the region’s indigenous, pre-Islamic Yazidis, and Christians.
ISIS massacres in Iraq, kills over 700 Syria tribe members in 2 weeks
NCR-IRAN.ORG: ISIS have killed more than 700 members of a tribe in eastern Syria in two weeks mostly civilians, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Saturday.
The monitoring group said that were 100 fighters among the members of the Shaitat tribe who were killed in several villages in the mainly ISIS-controlled eastern province of Deir Ezzor.
The head of Observatory which relies on a vast network of activists and medics on the ground said that the fate of 1,800 other members of the tribe was unknown.
On August 5, the Observatory said IS beheaded three Shaitat tribesmen and put their heads on public display.
Also Saturday details emerged of a “massacre” carried out by ISIS in a northern Iraq village.
Dozens of civilians were killed, most of them followers of the Yazidi faith, Kurdish officials said.
Militants entered the village of Kocho on Friday and “committed a massacre,” senior Iraqi official Hoshyar Zebari told AFP, citing sources from the region and intelligence reports.

The Mohammedan Weltanschauung is stooped in dualism; holding two opposing things true at the same time. And pretending that there is some other kind of Islam, one that differs from that of the Koran, sirs and hadith, is basic taqiyya. The jihadists do exactly what Muhammad did, and the so called “moderates” pretend they are doing something wrong, here the Arab media even calls it “despicable actions that tarnish Islam”. The reality is that nothing can “tarnish Islam” more than Islam itself.
