Nigerian cardinal criticizes role of sharia, says Muslim leaders must ‘rein in their mad dogs’
Nigeria’s leading prelate has briefed the German Bishops’ Conference on religion and violence in Nigeria, particularly the violence committed by members of the Islamist terrorist movement Boko Haram.
“Beyond verbal tirades by some pastors, so far I am not aware of any violent groups claiming Christian inspiration,” said Cardinal John Onaiyekan of Abuja, according to a report by the Catholic News Service of Nigeria.
“This seems to me to put a significant responsibility on our Islamic community to do more about ‘reining in their mad dogs,’” he added. “It is not immediately clear how much they are doing in this regard.”
Cardinal Onaiyekan also said that role played by sharia, which is part of the legal system in 12 of Nigeria’s 36 states, runs counter to the principle of “one nation, one law.”
“The role and place of the sharia in its many forms have been a matter of much debate and strong controversy in Nigeria,” he stated. “This is a major part of the problem of national integration.”

My brother your hatred for Islam won’t help you. You complain about sharia in your country I don’t believe you worship any God cos you only believe in science and rem science has existed with same God that you don’t know. Hey Farouk, my hatred of Islam is totally justified. Jesus foretold the coming of false prophets, which mohamed clearly was, a big give-away of his being a false prophet was his fixation on sex on earth, and his dreams of a brothel in the sky. All the murder, scheming, rapes and other assorted mayhem committed by himself and his cohorts sets him apart from all the other prophets of the Bible. You’ve been sold a bill goods, (hoodwinked, bamboozled, indoctrinated). When you die, still beleiving in the false prophet mohamed, you’ll go to hell. Wake and smell the coffee, and reject Islam, it really is vile.
Islam is a cancer to humanity and it has to be stopped before it is too late.
The politicians in the West have sold our countries to Islam via immigration and not enforcing integration. We must make our voices heard. These same politicians tried to take our guns away from us in the U.S. if we allowed them to do this they, like Europes polticians could then open the doors to Islam. If Muslims walk American streets telling us we can’t drink beer here or there because of Muslims in the area we will simply shoot them. They best not get out of line here, especially in the south. We hate them.
