Silent Conquest
Posted by: Ingrid Carlqvist 3 November, 2013
Yesterday Ann Fishman’s documentary Silent Conquest was awarded the Silver Award in the Film Section 2013 at the opening of the art exhibition Passion for Freedom Festival in London. Ann Fishman could not attend the event and therefore asked Dispatch International’s editor in chief Lars Hedegaard – who is interviewed in the film – to reveive the award on her behalf.
In his acceptance speech Lars Hedegaard said that the free speech situation in the world is even worse today than when the film was made. As en example he mentioned the methods used in an attempt to silence Dispatch International – constant hacker attacks, smearing campaigns, threats from PayPal and the attempt on his life on February 5 this year.

NOTE: I am taking down the YT version posted here, because the YT channel didn’t have the authority to post it.
I’m greatful for the opportunity to view this award winning documentary online, thank you.
Pointing out the encroachment of blasphemy laws as interpretted by shari’ah comes across in stunningly loud and clear message as even this documentary, “Silent Conquest”, blurred every image of the controversial Jyllands Posten (Muhammed) cartoon images in related reports. Even this documentary refused to reveal these images. Surreal, insanity.
More than welcome wtd!
