I was in awe watching this timeless legend singing his masterpiece. Who could be more of a New Yorker, more American, than Paul Simon? What song can describe the tragedy any better? I can’t think of any. The only complaint I have is that without Art Garfunkel, “Sounds of Silence” would have not been the monster standard it is. Also, a more fitting tribute would have been another tour de force, “American Tune”.
