Australia Greens

Thanks to The Sheik for this one. It seems that Finland isn’t the only state that has a troublesome Greens party with a fetish for irrational anti-Israeli hatred. The Greens are in fact a party of radical Leftists that care more for governing peoples lives than actually carrying about the planet. They’re actually a party of neo-Stalinists. KGS

NOTE: The politically astute Finnish bloggers, Kumitonttu, Vasarahammer and Pikkupoika have been warning about the Leftist, extremist radicalism of Finnish Greens for years. The former spokesman of the Finnish Greens, Osmo Soininvaara is well known for making highly irrational and extreme remarks on his blog to the sound of the Finnish press yawning.

TheAustralian: West Australian senator Scott Ludlam last year demanded an arms embargo on Israel, which he described as “a rogue state”, while South Australian colleague Sarah Hanson-Young addressed a rally where protesters called on Australia to sever ties with the Jewish state.

The stance by the two senators conflicts with Senator Brown’s assurance last week that his federal party was not anti-Israel and did not support the NSW branch of the party advocating sanctions against Israel.

More here.

UPDATE: Greg Sheridan:

THE depth and longstanding nature of the Greens’ visceral hostility to Israel reveals something very unpleasant about the nature of the Greens themselves.

They are essentially a party of extremists. Like most extremists operating in a democratic space, they try to garner support on broadly populist issues while still servicing their extremist activist base with extremist positions and campaigns.

The language of a number of the Greens senators about Israel – rogue state, apartheid, should be boycotted – is the language of political sectarianism and prejudice.

Absolutely correct KGS. This is not just in Finland, we see it here in Holland too. They always talk about Palestinians and their tragedies, but they never talk about Kurdistan or Tibet. Why? Because it has nothing to do with Israel and if it has nothing to do with Israel then it has nothing to do with Jews. The Dutch Greens wants Israel to talk with Hamas. The former leader of the Greens said that Israel should not be a Jewish state anymore.

They are out of their minds.
