DIANA WEST: CONCERNING THE RESURGENCE OF THE CALIPHATE IT’S NOT BECK WHO’S DELUSIONAL…….

Diana West is right. Despite the pundit Left and Right hyperventilating over all of the (superficial) signs of a “Cairo Spring”, in reality, there is nothing to crow about. The Tundra Tabloids has been saying this from the get go.

In order for the proud supporters of the  Middle East’s birth of “democracy” to have something to crow about, they will have to first confront the ugly truth of the incompatibility of the basic tenets of Islam with democracy.

How can a society permeated for centuries with the doctrine of submission, (Islam 101), successfully embark upon a system of governance, which at its core, safeguards the freedom of the individual and the right to choose? In short, it can’t, one has to give, and odds on favorite to triumph is Islam. KGS

NOTE: it’s the same conundrum concerning the Hamas. How can the Gaza branch of the Muslim Brotherhood be expected to renounce violence against Israel and accept its existence, though its own existence is predicated on doing the exact opposite?

The Global Caliphate and the Universal Delusion

“Here is what is “delusional”: the belief that American principles — freedom of religion, freedom of speech, equality before the law — have a natural place as “universal principles” in a culture grounded in Shariah principles.”

The Global Caliphate and the Universal Delusion

I almost forgot how the Pundit Right smacked down Glenn Beck over his wholly rational concern that out of Tahrir Square a new caliphate might arise in the Islamic world until I read William Kristol’s op-ed this week.

Earlier this month, Weekly Standard editor and Fox analyst Kristol had led off the anti-Beck attack with a heated column accusing Beck of “hysteria” for his “rants about the caliphate taking over the Middle East” and connections to the American Left. Kristol was seconded by National Review editor Rich Lowry. The New York Times’ David Brooks entered the debate lambasting Beck for his “delusional ravings about the caliphate coming back” while “the conservative establishment” saw Mubarak’s fall as “a fulfillment of Ronald Reagan’s democracy dream.” (Count me out.)

For the next week or so, taunting “delusional” Beck became a regular feature on cable TV. The Pundit Left congratulated the responsible Right for “addressing” the Beck “problem.” And maybe a solution was near. “I’ve heard, from more than a couple of conservative sources, that prominent Republicans have approached Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes about the potential embarrassment that the paranoid-messianic rodeo clown may bring upon their brand,” Time’s Joe Klein blogged. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a mirror-Olbermann situation soon.”

[…]

But I digress, sort of. What is noteworthy about the beef against Beck is the rock-hard certitude with which his critics, Right and Left, dismiss the caliphate concept as though it were a mythological beast, not a historical system of Islamic governance still revered and yearned for by most Muslims. Speaking of Tahrir Square, a 2007 University of Maryland/WorldOpinon poll indicated that 74 percent of Egyptians favor “strict Shariah,” while 67 percent favor a “caliphate” uniting all of Islam.

But woe to anyone who takes notice. Harvard historian Niall Ferguson, for example, was recently accused on a noted blog of “(slinging) caliphate tripe” when Ferguson pointed out that the Muslim Brotherhood “remains by far the best organized opposition force in the country, and wholly committed to the restoration of the caliphate and the strict application of Shariah.” “Hilariously stupid” was the not-so-hilariously stupid comment.

But even if “Arab spring” should fail, Kristol writes, “there would be still be a case, for reasons of honor and duty … to stand with the opponents of tyranny.” Doing so, he continues, would not only “vindicate American principles and mean a gain for American interests but because we claim those American principles to be universal principles.”

Here is what is “delusional”: the belief that American principles — freedom of religion, freedom of speech, equality before the law — have a natural place as “universal principles” in a culture grounded in Shariah principles. This is the pure fantasy that has driven our foreign policy through a decade of “nation-building” wars. Meanwhile, the only way I know how to get to anything you might call “universal principles” into the Islamic world is through the establishment of … a caliphate.

  1. KGS,
You need not fear a Caliphate. The time hasn’t come, yet! Let this Hadith comfort you.
On the authority of Thawbaan , the Prophet said:

The People will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invites others to share their food.” Someone asked, “Will that be because of our small numbers at that time?” He replied, “No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be froth and scum like that carried down by a torrent (of water), and Allah will take the fear of you from the breasts (hearts) of your enemy and cast al-Wahn into your hearts.” Someone asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what is al-Wahn?” He replied, “Love of the world and dislike of death.” [An authentic hadith recorded by Abu Dawud and Ahmad]

Today muslims are over a billion, yet you and your ppls are chewing them up everywhere. From Philistine, Iraq, Iran, Russia, Afgan, North Africa, everywhere. What an accurate prediction.
So long as you keep producing those goods and services that keep the muslims love of the world intense, and give them access to them. “You are safe”

    1. It’s not kafir muslims that I’m worried about, but the ones in daily contact with their inner mohamed.

      1. Instead of worrying, focus more on developing yourself and your worship. These events will happen, but probably not in our time. We will be dead and gone and will only be held to account for that which we did in our time.
Its not that complicated, My Dear.

        1. If I cared not a whit about the future of Western society, then perhaps I would follow your advice, but I do, and deem fighting for it a loftier goal than following a creed that is diametrically opposed to all that I hold to be true. Dear.

          1. Furthermore, your worries are misguided.
It’s the “kafir Muslims” that you should be worried about. They are the ones whose lack of understanding of Islam makes them want to kill you in your lands.
Students or true Islam, one’s with “inner mohamed’s,” understand that
1, There is no compulsion in religion
2, They don’t have to like you, but have to respect you, your properties and your laws in your lands.
3, That your are 100% safe in their lands as well, as long as you pay jizya and are not there to make mischief. You are even free to practice your reigion.
4, They wish for you to convert to Islam not because Islam needs numbers, but as a mercy to you.
I can go on and on about the rights freedoms and privileges conveyed upon you by the religion of Islam but I’m sure you really don’t care.
You need the “kafir Muslims” to keep up the Vicious image of Islam that your agenda requires.

          2. Hey Brimah, no matter how you would like to spin it, you’re not fooling anyone with your “no compulsion in religion” nonsense.

(.1) Ibn Hisham tells us in “The Biography of Muhammad”(Part 4, Page 11)

Muhammad told him: “Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan. Is it not time for you to realize that there is no God but the only God?” Abu Sufyan answered: “I do believe that.” Muhammad then said to him: “Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan. Is it not time for you to know that I am the apostle of God?” Abu Sufyan answered: “By God, O Muhammad, of this there is doubt in my soul.” The ‘Abbas who was present with Muhammad told Abu Sufyan: “Woe to you! Accept Islam and testify that Muhammad is the apostle of God before your neck is cut off by the sword.” Thus he professed the faith of Islam and became a Muslim.”

(.2) there is no respect in Islam for the non-Muslim, no matter how many times you return to the abrogated portion of the Koran that contains the friendlier verses. The only ones considered truly valid are the ones after the “Sword Verse”. The only thing a non-muslim living in a Muslim majority society can expect, is the same kind of treatment a Black could expect is a segregated South in the US. It all depends upon how low profile they behave and on the good will of the current ruler of the area. Islam hates the non-muslim and discriminates againsts them and no amount of lying by you will change anything.

3.) as long as we pay the jizya,…hmmmm why don’t you complete the verse:

Qur’an (9:29) – “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”

.4) Keep your “mercy”, your jizya, your crazy madman self proclaimed prophet, your moon god and everything that flows from it. Not interested.

  2. I am keeping it real, your own texts tell of Mohamed’s command of subjugation of the non-believer. You’re not fooling anyone here, but please keep it up, you’re a very effective recruiting tool for the counterjihad.

    1. No, KGS,
You are wasting your time recruiting “counter jihadists”
Our jihad is within ourselves. It’s how to stop, lying, cheating, backbiting. How to be good to mankind, how to be faithful to our wives etc. Thats the Jihad we are working on.
Why don’t we join together to fight these vices.
You need to shift your paradigm and realize who the real enemy is.

      1. Your dawa doesn’t allow for you to be truthful about Islam, for lying, cheating and backbiting against the non-muslim is allowed, in fact, it’s encouraged.

    2. Ha HA HA.

Brimah has given me the best laugh I ‘ve had so far this year.

Nothing more need be said except to point out that it’s the kafir muslims who are most likely to be ignorant of the teachings of the Sunna and Koran.
