  • According to KRP, the Turku staircase has links with the terrorist organization Isis.
  • According to KRP, the man also had two other strikes in the design, which he abandoned.
  • According to the KRP, the author selects women as casualties most likely by chance.

According to Robin Lardot , chief of the Central Bureau of Investigation, a 22-year-old Moroccan man suspected of terrorist acts in Turku was radicalized a month or some weeks before the August blast.

The author was also given a clue to the police, but it did not lead to follow-up because the hint was overwhelming in nature and was not sufficient to justify wider action.

In retrospect, KRP should have been given more clues, or the hint should have been more concrete.

Two attacks

According to KRP, the perp also had two other strikes planned, but he abandoned them, among other things, because there was “too many people” in another alternative detention site.

The second alternative scenario was according to KRP planned for the same day and another for another day.

According to KRP, the perp selected women as victims by chance, and not necessarily consciously.

Manifesto in Arabic

According to KRP, the Turku stabber wrote a manifesto, read it near the Turku Cathedral, and then released it in the short message service.

According to Robin Lardot, Commander of the KRP, the message channel used by the author was closed and Arabic, so the message was difficult and even impossible for the Finnish authorities to notice in advance.

Connections to Isis

According to Robin Lardot, KRP, the author has links with the terrorist organization Isis and the author hoped martyred death.

The police are still looking for one man in Turku.
