European Police Office, Europol on Monday launched a human trafficking struggling center.

At the same time, Europol published a report on the basis of which measures what is really necessary.

– Europol’s research shows that criminal organizations will help 90 per cent of migrants arriving in Europe, said the Director of Europol Rob Wainwright .

– Therefore, the eradication of this huge human smuggling has become a key part of the EU’s response to the migrant crisis.

Human smuggling is a huge business. On the basis of a report it is run by criminal organizations whose earnings over the last year soared by EUR 3-6 billion.

According to Europol, the amount may double or even triple, if the scale of the refugee and migration crisis will remain at last year’s order of magnitude.

The market is growing

According to Europol, the avalanche of refugees and migrants has left a significant mark on the whole of European criminal landscape. Human trafficking has become the fastest-growing criminal “market”, and the trend is expected to continue.

Alongside the way the business is run by large organizations, they are multinational and networked with each other.

Traffickers offer to refugees and immigrants transport, accommodation and forged documents. They advertise their services to include a social network.
