Ahmadinejad: UN Resolutions Are ‘Scraps of Paper’…….

The Iranian sleaze monkey is at it again, this time around he delivers the ‘coup de grâce’ to the UNSC’s credibility, with his defiant statement that the declarations it issues are worthless pieces of paper.

To some extent I have to agree with a portion of his assessment. The 3/5 of the UNSC were more than happy to allow Saddam Hussein to remain in power and circumvent its authority with his massive shell game, as well as to turn a blind eye to his bribery schemes and Food For Fuel scamming.

UNSCR 1701 is another prime example of a useless document, which was supposed to not only end the Lebanon/Israeli war, but to ensure the central Lebanese government’s control and sovereignty over all of Lebanon. As it now stands, Hezbollah is still a state within a state and heavily rearmed by its patron Iran, via the weigh station called Syria, making UNSCR 1701 a very useless piece of paper.

Ahmadinejad says UN resolutions are “scraps of paper”

Iran vows to remove world’s ‘corrupt leadership’

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday set Iran its latest mission of wiping out the “corrupt world leadership,” and said sanctions and threats were nothing but scraps of paper.“The Iranian nation will not give up until the corrupt leadership in the world has been obliterated,” Ahmadinejad said in the Shiite holy city of Mashhad, northeast Iran, quoted by the Fars news agency.“

Our foes should know that threats, sanctions, and political and economic pressures can not force our nation to back down,” he added.Ahmadinejad outlined two goals for the Islamic republic and its people.“ We have two missions, to build Islamic Iran and to exert an effort to change the leadership in the world. We have to carry out both (missions) as well as we can,” he said.T

he president also renewed his defiance of United Nations demands for Iran to halt sensitive nuclear work.“The resolutions which are adopted against Iran are … scraps of papers. The Iranians are a peace-loving people of dialogue in fair circumstances, but they will not discuss their rights,” he said.

Nukes for all Muslims- – – – – – – –

Iranian judiciary chief Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi told leaders of the Gulf Arab state of Qatar on Wednesday that his country was willing to put its controversial nuclear expertise at the service of all Muslim states.

“Iran is determined to make the best use of this technology not only for Iran but also for all Muslim states,” Shahroudi told a news conference in the Qatari capital Doha.

His comments came after talks with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, whose country hosts the headquarters of U.S. Central Command which runs military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and across the Middle East and the Horn of Africa.

Washington has been pushing for a new set of U.N. sanctions against Tehran over its insistence on mastering the nuclear fuel cycle for its self, despite misgivings from other veto-wielding permanent members of the Security Council, notably Moscow.Iran vehemently maintains that it seeks nuclear energy to address an ever growing population’s need for electricity.

As an international body, the UN retains very little credibility, due to having been long since corrupted by its own members, of which many are highly corrupted third world states themselves, and who have managed to achieve key positions of authority in that international disaster called the UN.

So ironically, Ahamdinejad’s declaration of the truth, is really a breath of fresh air, and should be considered as more of a warning signal for those who are already sceptical of the UN. The only truly worrying aspect of the sleaze monkey’s speech, is that he openly brags about subverting states to his own liking, which highlights Iran’s danger to regional stability, as well as his call for the spreading of nuclear technology throughout the ME.

What has to happen is an international blockade run by the western states of Iranian fuel imports. Yes, large quantities Iranian petrol is refined outside Iran, and putting the squeeze on its future refinement would cause havoc inside Iran, which is already very frustrated with the Mullocracy run government. This could put them over the edge. So Iran is not operating without a few key pressure points to squeeze.

Ahmadinejad’s statements about the UN being a ‘paper tiger’ shouldn’t be necessarily considered as a negative thing, if, it produces the needed reforms and helps to stiffen the spine of western resolve, to ensure that sleaze monkey’s plans do not become a reality. The Iranian leader is only repeating what many UN sceptics have been saying all along, that the UN is a moribund institution that is need of major repair.

One only has to look how the reforms suggested by former US Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, were received, to understand the complexity as well as difficulty in making those UN papers once more to mean something. So for once, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has made an accurate statement, too bad it had to come from the likes of him. *L* KGS
