I have had it up to here with those who continually whine about the “poor Palestinians, the poor Palestinians”, while never demanding anyhting from them in return. Palestinians still get around $400 per nose while the rest of the world’s refugees have to make do with $40 annually.
I’m not saying we shouldn’t give them anything, but demanding something from them in return –for all the time, money and effort spent on their behalf– is in my opinion, a very reasonable request.
And while I’m at it, a complete rejection of violence by the overwhelming majority in their society would be a start as well. Ending the institution of the culture of death, that seeks to brainwash their youth into becoming jihadis, and wanting death, would also be welcome news. How about the Palestinian leadership preparing their youth for an eventual peace instead of for a perpetual war?
Joseph Puder writes at the Front Page Mag:
“The Western conundrum mired with guilt over the “victimized” Palestinians is misplaced. Instead of guilt the West should demand that Arab and Palestinian dictatorships address the issue of human rights for their people by making welfare and humanity a priority. They should demand, as Ronald Reagan did in Berlin, to “tear down those camps” and give their people a life free from hatred, war, suffering, and death. “
That’s nothing more than what most reasonable people would ask for, its about time that they start demanding it. More here. *L* KGS
