Buffoonery Iran NATO Netherlands

NATO member Netherlands sends defense attaché not to states of the military alliance, but instead to Iran…….

The Netherlands is unglued from reality, Pres.Trump needs to weigh in on this.

The Netherlands Intensifies Military Link with Iran

The Dutch Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense have decided to send a defense attaché to the Dutch embassy in Iran.

This is all the more remarkable as NATO, of which the Netherlands is a member, sees Iran as an enemy. Dutch ambassador to Tehran, Susanna Terstal, recently visited an Iranian general.

On the Iranian press website, Mehr News, the Dutch ambassador is quoted as saying, ‘The Netherlands is interested in starting military relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.’

It is known that the Dutch do not even have defense attachés in the countries of their NATO allies.

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense have decided to send a defense attaché to Iran. Both ministries confirm this to the NAV.
The Dutch Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense have decided to send a defense attaché to the Islamic Republic of Iran. This confirms spokespersons of both ministries. A defense attaché represents the armed forces and their leadership in the receiving state and is the contact person for the Ministry of Defense. This choice is striking because Iran is seen as an enemy within the military treaty organization NATO, of which the Netherlands is a part. Nevertheless, the Netherlands has decided to start military ties with the regime in Tehran right now. Annelou Veen, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirms to the NAV “the approaching appointment of the new Defense Attaché in Tehran” and refers further to the Ministry of Defense.
