Finnish media and pundits hyperventilate over Gen.Mike Flynn guilty plea: “The end of Trump is near”…….

LOL…

This is why you can’t be a stenotype operator for the CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR or the rest of the #fakemedia, and be taken seriously as a journalist. Hack journo clowns are either ignoramuses or just pushing political narratives. The genius pictured, Saska Saarikoski is a ‘journalist’ at the Helsingin Sanomat, a paper of importance in Finland comparable to that of the NYT or Washington Post.

In an article in yesterday’s edition, intrepid reporter Saarikoski makes the following blurb:

Trump’s former advisor, Michael Flynn admits lying to the FBI – according to U.S. media, Trump’s son urged contact with Russia

Flynn is suspected of giving false information about his contacts with the Russian Ambassador. Recognition of former security adviser Michael Flynn tightens loops around the White House.

HS

I won’t bother with anything else in the HS article because it offers nothing more than what you see in the above, hyperbole and nothing of substance. Already ABC News’ Brian Ross is backpedaling from his initial reporting (after leaving it to lie for eight hrs. like a stinking turd waiting to be covered up) that ”according to sources ‘then-candidate’ Donald Trump instructed him to contact Russian officials during the campaign.”

Everybody who loathes Trump here in Finland are jumping on the band wagon, hoping against all hope that it’s a block buster event of such magnitude (in a supposedly stellar investigation by the former FBI director) that it’s the beginning of the end for Trump. Just last night I exchanged words with a senior think tank researcher at the FIIA (formerly UPI) who basically said that the end of Trump draws nigh:

Really Charley?

Not according to Andrew C. McCarthy, (former) Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York), in “There’s less to the news than meets the eye.” , McCarthy notes that:

To the contrary, for all the furor, we have a small-potatoes plea in Flynn’s case — just as we did in Papadopoulos’s case, despite extensive “collusion” evidence. Meanwhile, the only major case Mueller has brought, against former Trump-campaign chairman Paul Manafort and an associate, has nothing to do with the 2016 election. It is becoming increasingly palpable that, whatever “collusion” means, there was no actionable, conspiratorial complicity by the Trump campaign in the Kremlin’s machinations.

Every single public event initiated by the Mueller investigation has had absolutely nothing to do with the activities of the then candidate-Donald Trump, the sole purpose of the special council, and everything to do with the actions in the post-election period before the inauguration. In other words it’s all about process, how interviewees behaved during the intense grilling sessions with Team Mueller vis-a-vis the FBI.

Former Chief of Staff for former A-G Edwin Meese during the Reagan administrations, (and constitutional scholar) Mark Levin, calls Mueller’s special council a ‘crap investigation’, whose purview could have been handled by the Justice Department, not a special council.

Levin pops the media bubble on Mueller’s ‘crap investigation’

The media are shrieking that this will prove that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to unjustifiably win the 2016 presidential election. But, as Levin points out, there is still no evidence.
“[Special counsel Robert] Mueller’s investigation is a Mickey Mouse investigation, and he proved it yet again today,” Levin said.

Listen to the segment from his radio broadcast, it’s stunning what’s being reported and repeated which bears little or no resemblance to what the actual facts are, it’s all speculative hyperbole.

What’s needed is a refraining from knee-jerk punditry by the media, and a return to hard hitting journalism. That means fleshing out other reports (like I have done) and present them with the body evidence, not  perspectives, because that’s all we have here, perspectives. We do not know with 100 % certainty what Mueller has, but we do know however that his special council has leaked multiple times, each leak being a federal crime. My instincts tells me that if this is all he (Mueller) has to date, all non-related to the original mandate, then most likely nothing more will be forthcoming central to the original purpose behind the special council.

Yesterday’s event at the FBI court is nothing more than a process ”gotcha ya” moment stemming from a stupid mistake in judgement during an interview, and subsequent falling on his sword for the sake of his son with whom he works, to keep him from being ensnared for the same offence. As far as I see it, that’s it. For Finns reading about this is the Finnish media, you’ve just learned far more here, than anything you’ve seen or heard in the Helsingin Sanomat or on state TV/radio.
