Egyptian tank crew ‘saves 50 people’ from deadly suicide bomb by CRUSHING car packed with 200lbs of explosives
An Egyptian tank crew was credited with saving up to 50 people from a car bomb laden with explosives which drove at an army checkpoint in North Sinai (pictured left). The tank spotted the car racing towards the checkpoint and drove out head-on to meet them (pictured right), before proceeding to run over the car – which had four heavily-armed militants inside. A military spokesperson said seven civilians died, but added that up to 50 had been saved by the tank’s actions, including the ones seen desperately fleeing the scene.
