Refugees to get seven bed house, meanwhile 1,132 wait on council list
SYRIAN refugees will be handed the keys to a seven-bedroom home in one of the most desirable parts of Britain, it has been revealed
The beautiful property – estimated value £400,000 – is in the constituency of Home Secretary Amber Rudd, East Sussex.
The fully furnished end-of-terrace home has been reserved for “imminent arrivals” by the Council, the same council which has 1,132 people waiting for social housing.
But the controversial move has divided the coastal town.
One neighbour, who wishes to remain anonymous said:
“I think it’s absolutely disgraceful when people are homeless. Maybe a family with three or four children could have that house or veterans. I don’t think this should be allowed.”
