President Trump says the US will not be sending in ground troops……

This entire incident has been a good way to see just who are the Looney Toons and who aren’t.

I’ve said from the very beginning that the strike against Assad is a good calculated move in the sense that it’s more about sending signals to world leaders that the US is not going to conducting its business as it has during the past eight years. The fog of war and propaganda surrounding the use of chemical weapons is still thick, with people falling this or that way on who did what, but the bottom line is, the US will not wait around and dither like Obama would have.

NOTE: Then again, he really is not going to tell you what he really thinks on any given issue till it becomes a fait accompli.

President Trump has said the U.S. will not be waging a fully-fledged war in Syria.

‘We’re not going into Syria,’ he told Fox Business in an interview, which will air in full on Wednesday morning.

He also said that last Thursday’s missile strike was only intended to curb Assad’s use of chemical weapons on his own people, and slammed the Obama administration for not doing enough during his time in office.

‘But when I see people using horrible, horrible chemical weapons – which they agreed not to use under the Obama administration, but they violated it’ he added.

‘What I did should have been done with the Obama administration long before I did it.

‘And you would have had a much better — I think Syria would be a lot better off right now than it has been.’
