According to Interior Ministry Permanent Secretary, Päivi Nergin, returns to Iraq have been difficult.
The Finnish delegation has negotiated earlier this week in Baghdad, Iraqi asylum seekers return and restitution.
According to Interior Ministry Permanent Secretary Päivi Nerg, during the visit, discussions continued on a memorandum of cooperation arrangements for returns, and took the initiative in the creation of a cooperation program. The talks were held under the leadership of Päivi Nerg.
Iraqi asylum applications have been started from the beginning of 2015, including 21 687 (20 484 in 2015 and this year to date, 1203 until December 6th). A total of asylum seekers during this period come to Finland Nergin loop of about 32 000 people, so the Iraqis are by far the largest group.
