Stolen lorry ‘driven by refugee’ crashes into Christmas market in Breitscheidplatz in Berlin killing TWELVE and injuring 50
The crash happened in a packed market square in a chilling echo of the deadly terror attack in Nice earlier this year
A LORRY was ‘hijacked by an Afghan refugee’ who then ploughed it into a Christmas market in Germany at 40mph, killing 12 people and injuring 50 others.
The driver of the Polish-registered lorry fled the scene of the attack, which took place at around 8pm in the capital Berlin, but was later arrested by police.
