A LEADING Islamic cleric has called for all women to undergo female genital mutilation in order to combat “sexual immorality”.

Ismail Berdiev, who advises Russian president Vladimir Putin on religion, has sparked outrage with his demand.
“All women must be cut, so that there will be no depravity on Earth,” he said, while admitting that female circumcision – or genital mutilation (FGM) – was not demanded by the Koran.
“It would be good if this was done to every woman.”
The mufti claimed that the shocking practice had no impact on women’s ability to give birth and raise children, which he said was their main purpose.
