In a Western statist society, group rights and identity politics are a key feature, and under girded (protected) by political correctness.
The so called ”masses” are actually divided up by the political/cultural elite into this this or that group when it suits their purposes of divide and rule. The multiculturalism ideology is a direct product of this statist construct, it could not exist if society was operating under classical enlightenment philosophy principles, that being, a nation comprised of sovereign individuals, free agents, exercising their unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
The statist is at continual war with that construct, it does not trust the civil society, it seeks to impose its ideological views upon it, and to do so it must divide to rule over it. It must pick and choose which groups it will favor one group over others using the very tolerance of that society as a weapon against it.
What these groups don’t realize is, that they’re being played, they are merely pawns in a grander game. Every once in awhile these favored groups are pitted one against the other and it takes them by surprise.
