These are the shocking scenes as a man allegedly armed with a knife, circled left, threatens police officers at Leytonstone Underground station in east London earlier this evening. One unarmed policeman shouted ‘Tazer, Tazer’ at the man, centre. Officers were responding to reports that a man had been stabbed in the ticket hall, leaving a large pool of blood, inset.
Eyewitnesses reported that the man allegedly called out ‘this is for Syria’ before he was arrested by police, right. The victim was rushed to hospital having suffered ‘serious stab wounds’. The Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command is investigating the attack. London’s anti-terror commander Richard Walton said: ”We are treating this as a terrorist incident.
