This is what happens when politicians reject human experience as a guide for future decision making. For the statist and neo-statist (latter being pseudo conservatives) history and experience begin with each new day, no need to look back, just use “reason” alone to determine what is and isn’t prudent.

Reason may mislead us.”John Dickinson at the Philadelphia Convention. “Experience was “the best oracle of wisdom” and “the least fallible guide of human opinions,” wrote Alexander Hamilton in The Federalist.[2] James Madison, his collaborator, concurred. Experience was “the oracle of truth” and “the guide that ought always to be followed whenever it can be found,” wrote Madison.[3] Experience would help prevent reason from leading them astray. NOTE: Sweden is boiling over, and chuckleheads like Sipilä and Niinistö and the rest of the horse and pony show want us to believe that they’ve got it all covered, just trust them, while they pursue illogical choices and knee-jerk policies. PM Sipilä: Finland at asylum-seeker capacity
Juha Sipilä spoke on Prime Minister’s question hour saying that the number of asylum-seekers entering Finland is untenable, and that 10,000 would be a sustainable number of yearly arrivals.

Prime Minister Juha Sipilä says that Finland is fast approaching its maximum sustainable capacity for asylum-seekers.
“We are right on the upper limit,” he said on radio’s Prime Minister’s question hour. He says that all sectors of Finland’s response system – including reception centres, housing and police work – are stretched thin.
The Minister of the Interior updated its estimate of the number of asylum-seekers arriving in Finland this year, revising the figure from 50,000 to 30,000-35,000.
“Those thirty-odd thousand migrants will be a challenge. It is ten times are many asylum-seekers as last year,” Sipilä said.
He estimates that a sustainable yearly number of asylum-seekers entering the country would be around 10,000.
Just under 80 people arrived in Tornio to claim asylum on Saturday, a huge reduction on the busiest days at the town’s newly-established registration facility. Finland is expecting a total of some 30,000 to 35,000 asylum seekers to arrive this year, with 20,000 registered so far.
NOTE: I seriously doubt the low number of just 80 coming into the country at Tornio, they have been proven to be misleading time and again.
