Ready beds for 52 asylum seekerS

FRC Riitta Kangaskesti coordinate volunteers beds for people to put in order.
Kivilahti is ready to accept 52 asylum-seekers. The bunks are already in place. The bus will bring asylum seekers contrary to Suolahti Thursday- Friday night.
Located in the Suolahti owned-church Kivilahti camp center is expecting 52 Iraqi asylum-seekers. The bus which left Rovaniemi at 18:00 is on its way and to arrive after midnight. The Red Cross’ Western Finland unit got going and soon had beds readied.
The men coming to Kivilahti are all of adult age. All are registered as asylum seekers.

AKS was there to help. Kangaskesti told me that the bed covers, duvet covers in particular are in short supply. AKS has brought with it 30 blanket covering sheets and pillowcases, as well as a dozen or so bed sheets and towels.
Kivilahti camp center features ten rooms. Each room was made No. of beds are four, the remaining 12 got a place on the floor.
