One person has been killed and four injured after a massive explosion outside the Italian Consulate in the Egyptian capital of Cairo.
State news agency MENA cited a senior security source as saying preliminary investigations indicated the blast was caused by a bomb placed underneath a car near the consulate and was remotely detonated. MENA earlier cited a security source as saying two policemen were among those wounded in the attack.
No one has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
