  1. The difference between Christianity and other religions.

“Eye for any eye” vs ” he who hath no sin cast the first stone”, or ” Love your enemies, do good to those that hate you”.

It is the last two that made Christians, when they became numerous in the West, to create a secular state to exact justice, according to the law, rather then an “eye for an eye” justice. Westsern civilisation starts here.

” Love your enemies, do good to those that hate you” – not just stops the revenge cycle, but allows reconciliation.

    1. I agree with you, in part. Eye for an eye however, in the Jewish context had nothing to do with ”vengeance”, that was a later understanding superimposed upon the idea. It was originally all about not exceeding the nature of the crime when seeking/exacting a just punishment for the crime. In times before that concept, whole families (including relatives and fellow tribesmen) were killed or persecuted for generations. ”Eye for an eye” was a concept of limitations. Christianity took it to a whole other level.

  3. They really should be taken out. There is no way to reform demons.
