I’d love to drop off this Finnish lefty supporter of the IslamoNazis in the center of Ramallah or Gaza City, as is.
The Dr.Suess character look-alike thinks he’s clever in using the word, ”christianist” in a obvious ploy to offset the word ”islamist” that’s being used by many in describing Muslims participating in political Islam and Islamic sponsored violence.
I stopped using the word of ”Islamist” ages ago, in favor of fundamentalist Islam/Muslim (because all of the horrors committed by these Muslims stem from the basic tenets/fundamentals of Islam. Basic Islam 101. We have the recent MEMRI video of an Egyptian stating exactly that: ”Barbarity is sacred in Islam’‘.
Syksy Räsänen, a lecturer of Cosmology at the University of Helsinki, is one of the more vocal and active radical Leftists in Finland, and according to back channels, was recently successful in getting the Finnish branch of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) booted from an upcoming multi-ethnic affair this summer.
Räsänen plots his course in his blog piece with juvenile assertions and comparisons, using crackpots such as radical Israeli propagandist, Shlomo Sand, to bolster his claim that ”Islamists” is nothing more than a pejorative against Muslims in general.
Shlomo Sand: This is not so much a caricature against Islamists as a stupid conflation of Islam with Terror; it’s on a par with identifying Judaism with money!
This is of course an asinine comparison, no where in Judaism does the worship of money become a pillar of belief in order to propagate the belief system. Those who use such imagery and rhetoric are basing their beliefs on the hatred of Jews, with the motivation for wealth being reduced to an exclusive Jewish trait. The same cannot be said of Islam, whose founder employed the measure of striking fear into the hearts of the unbeliever.
Quran (3:151) – “Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority”.
Quran (8:12) – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them” No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle.
But any ways, here’s one of the more stupid of assertions.
Syksy Räsänen (no relation of Päivi’s): ”In Finland, there are significant number of Christianist organizations, including the Christian Democrats, whose leader, Päivi Räsänen, is the country’s Minister of the Interior. Räsänen is in a sense an extreme Christianist because she thinks that Christians should not comply with the current laws, if they are against the holy scriptures.”
Here is what the Minister of the Interior actually said:
– All of us have definitely come across situations in which we will have to think about, I dare to go against public opinion or the standard, peer pressure or sometimes even the law, if they are contrary to the word of God. Acts of the Apostles describes a situation where the authorities banned the apostles to preach about Jesus. Then the Apostle Peter and the other apostles said: “We must obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29). They continued to work in spite of prohibition.
Western society was built upon Judaic-Christian sense of morality and principles, handed down through the ages. The Minister of the Interior made it abundantly clear that laws, that do not violate those laws adhering to those original principles, shall be obeyed. I see no conflict in this whatsoever, but that makes her (Päivi Räsänen) somehow into an extremist ”Christianist”. According to this radical Leftist, any law that makes it onto the books should be obeyed. The Jews during the rise and reign of Hitler’s Nazi Germany would disagree with him, as do I.
Christianists in the United States have killed doctors and other medical staff members who are involved in making abortions. All Christians are not responsible for these attacks, and not even Christianists. Although Päivi Räsänen campaigns against abortion, and calls on Christians to break the law, she can not be blamed for the attacks, which she had no connection with.
Get this, those who are opposed to abortion due to religious beliefs that deem the act to be murder, are the ‘extremists’. No, instead, reality says different. The regrettable 12 or so cases of homicide and attempted homicide (in the US) by a handful of Christian groups, which has no foundational basis in the New Testament or in Christian teaching (and roundly condemned by all Christian denominations), is conflated with the over, 25 000 documented cases of jihad by Muslim fundamentalists who can point to standard Islamic script, imams issuing fatwas and Islamic scholarship, proving what they are doing coincides with Islamic thought, scripture and teaching. There is no institution of jihad in Christian theology, unlike in Islam, which uses it to institute the sharia.
I don’t think I have to go and further in proving my case against the imbecilic vaporings of Syksy Räsänen.
