Obama obamablunders Robert Spencer

ROBERT SPENCER ON THE PASTOR-IN-CHIEF’S SPEECH AT THE ANNUAL INTERFAITH PRAYER BREAKFAST…….

Obama having an al-Sharpton moment.

It goes hand in hand with his take down attitude of American history, of which he has hardly anything good to say. Even when he makes attempts at saying something positive about it, it isn’t believable because he’s so transparent in his dislike for America.

Obama: “Remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ”

Obama says, “No God condones terror.” Yet Muhammad is depicted in a hadith as having said: “I have been made victorious through terror” (Bukhari 4:52.220). And the Qur’an says: “Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah and your enemies…” (8:60)

Those passages and others like them expose the vacuity of his invocation of the Crusades and Inquisition. Yes, indeed, in both, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. But in committing them, they could not and did not justify them by invoking Christian texts and teachings, because there were no such texts and teachings justifying those terrible deeds. That stands in sharp contrast to the Islamic jihadists who regularly invoke the Qur’an to justify their actions.

Also, this is ominous: “And if, in fact, we defend the legal right of a person to insult another’s religion, we’re equally obligated to use our free speech to condemn such insults — (applause) — and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with religious communities, particularly religious minorities who are the targets of such attacks. Just because you have the right to say something doesn’t mean the rest of us shouldn’t question those who would insult others in the name of free speech.”

But when it’s the President of the United States doing the “questioning,” what kind of coercive force is he going to bring behind his “questions,” so as to foreclose on any criticism of Islam and examination of how jihadists use its texts and teachings to justify violence and supremacism?
