PALEOSTINIANS DEMANDING UN RIP UP OWN SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION (242) IN DEMAND FOR ISRAELI WITHDRAWAL…….

The UN, without a US sitting on the UNSC would do just that.

Pali-knife-flag

In trying to underline and demean traditional U.S. support for Israel, the AP article tries to make the U.S. look as if it’s the only political entity that believes in a negotiated solution to the Arab’s conflict with Israel:

AP: — ”either by a failure to get the minimum nine “yes” votes required or by a veto from the United States, Israel’s closest ally which insists there must be a negotiated solution to the conflict.”

It’s not just the U.S. that says this, but the U.N.’s own Security Council itself, in UNSCR 242. What the article should have said is: ”[…] a veto from the United States, Israel’s closest ally which insists, along with the international community (UN), that there must be a negotiated solution to the conflict”.

The AP chose not to do this, and we all know why, the main intention was not to just report a story, but to piggy back it with an anti-U.S./Israeli narrative as well. That’s how it’s done, some truth mixed in with half truths without telling a bald faced lie, and there you have it.

NOTE: What’s being demanded by these Arabs is the full rescinding of UNSCR 242, nothing more, nothing less, for propaganda/ Arab political reasons.

Palestinians pushing for UN vote on Israeli withdrawal

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Palestinians are pressing for a U.N. Security Council vote this week on a resolution that would call for an end to Israel’s occupation within three years.

A resolution with such a timetable is almost certain to be rejected by the Security Council — either by a failure to get the minimum nine “yes” votes required or by a veto from the United States, Israel’s closest ally which insists there must be a negotiated solution to the conflict.

Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said a draft resolution would be submitted to the Security Council on Monday. A vote could be set for Tuesday.

Jordan’s U.N. Ambassador, the Arab representative on the Security Council, has said repeatedly that Jordan wants a consensus resolution agreed to by all 15 council members.
