German Ambassador Intends to Commemorate Waffen SS Dead

This Sunday at the Ijsselsteyn Cemetery, the German ambassador to the Netherlands, Franz Josef Krem, will commemorate the Germans killed in World War Two.  About 32,000 Germans and 6,000 unknown persons are buried there.  According to the experts of the War Victims Organization (Oorlogslachtoffers), 3,000 members of the Waffen SS are also buried there.

Recently, various neo-Nazis demonstrated at Ijsselsteyn, carrying swastika flags and the black banners of the SS.  The Waffen SS was responsible for many murderous crimes which were part of the Holocaust.  Various high-level Dutch authorities have announced that they will participate in the commemoration services.

The German ambassador also commemorates Sunday SS at the cemetery Ysselsteyn. “The dead who rest here are German and Dutch war dead, including the Waffen SS,” admits Franz Josef Kremp, the highest German diplomat in the Netherlands to in a letter to De Telegraaf hand managed to lay.

The Waffen-SS was in World War II, responsible for heinous war crimes and behind the front, like the Holocaust. The Jewish community reacts too upset. “I think this is a travesty. Mr. Kremp need SS to imagine as victims. Jews were the victims, “says Professor Herman Loon Stein of Jewish Federated Netherlands.

Recently demonstrated numerous neo-Nazis with swastika flags and black banners of the SS Ysselstein. The black-clad radical right also wore a large white cross live with it. In the past, organized right-wing skinheads as Blood & Honour commemoration of SS at the cemetery.

Several German and Dutch generals In commemorating this weekend invited. They will include the German-Dutch Corps in Münster, the air base Eindhoven and NATO headquarters in Brunssum. The commissioner of the King in Limburg Theo Bovens and the Mayor of Venray, Hans Gilissen, have announced they come.

  1. Fits perfectly into the whole ‘equality’ mode. Last year (or the year before that) we had people who wanted to commemorate Dutch Nazi-collaborates and their victims at the very same time.
