Seven police suspected in Putin blacklist case
Criminal investigations are under way following the spring 2013 revelation that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s name was placed on a criminal suspect list compiled by Finnish police.

The preliminary investigation was launched in April 2013 after the commercial broadcaster MTV3 revealed that the name of Russian President Vladimir Putin was on a criminal suspect registry. Putin’s name was on an internal list of organized crime groups compiled by Finland’s National Bureau of Investigation
Pre-trial investigations have been completed and the case will be transferred to the Prosecutor General’s office. Five of the 7 suspected are police officers.
